    Mech First warning...

No, not from the Mods.... yet....

So I was fueling up (one of the beast's favorite things to do) and I pressed the right gauge button to reset the trip mileage. I then pressed the left button (the one to change the time/date, thank Brazil) while at a stop. I got some odd warning in yellow that I will describe as best possible:

    A yellow circle,
MPH in the middle of the cirlce,
the number 1 in the upper left side and outside of the circle.

    Anyone?

    (go easy on me...)

Set speed warning: you can set a speed at which you want a "beep" so that it reminds you that you are going faster. To turn it off, press it and hold it until there are two lines through the icon.

    It's very annoying.

I remember the first time I set that thing by accident in the S4. Scared the crap out of me.

I was waiting for the "pig pile".... but I hadn't prepped myself for the "noob"

The F@#$ed-up thing about it as it is set to like 2-3mph so it was squawking at me like mad as I was driving in from the Beast's grocery store...
I wasn't quite doing 140 in a clover leaf like SOME OTHER PEEPS scaring the crap outta Trans yammers...

Ben- You crack me up and always have with your wit. I knew the "noob" would have some salt due to your long-term status. I would venture a guess that you know more about this car than most anyone- and forced my very deep planted tongue-in-cheek comment. I know I'm going to have to watch myself for my next question post as you will be sitting ready with quiver in hand..;0

Do you have a video of the warning because you know without it.....

MAX!!!?!?! Good to know that someone can understand one thing or another that I put out there...
Load it up and bring your best shot(s) (Tequila please or Absinthe) as the more the better... wait, no drinks, it is too early... at least for me...
You don't have to hold your tongue/cheek but the quivering hand... you might wanna have that checked out...

I ACTUALLY will get you a photo of that... video maybe...
Do you know how difficult it is to have an RS6 go 2-3mph???

All this thread for the speed warning feature?

Actually, mine is set for 86mph. Why? Well the speed limit on I10 to Phoenix is 75mph. I normally drive 85 and its a felony to drive 86.

Thus, like the Pavlov dog....the beeper is set to 86. I hit it and let my tongue out to slow down. Then push it again and beeeeepp. Oh crap

You gotta love the 26.0MPG in the example in the manual. It must be instant as I've never seen that in mine with the pedal mashed to the floor all the time. That warning freaked me out about day 2 of ownership. I'm stabbing buttons trying to figure out the clock and reset the trip computer as I'm leaving a stop light to hit the highway and that thing blasted me all the way home. I'm thinking something's broke and that warranty is still not in my hands.

Does everyone agree that Brazil knows the RS6 better than everyone else. I hereby nominate him as #1.

How did you get this screen on DIS?? When I got my car from the dealer CPO. It was making beep after 130km/h and never stop. So i take it back to dealer and they disable it. Since that time no beep coming even over 300 km/h.

HAHA! Hardly. I tend to research things a bit more than some people to find the answers, but I have yet to pull my engine out or do any major repairs. I'm pulling the timing belt off tomorrow though. Should help me gain some more knowledge. If I didn't have a lot of experience with my S4 (2.7TT) and my Esprit (full engine disassembly and rebuild) then I wouldn't be tackling this myself.
