RS600 for sale in Minneapolis :)

Hello, came upon this article, thought some of you Americans may be interested...

Six of jailed money manager Trevor Cook’s cars, which will be up for auction Saturday in downtown Minneapolis, surrounded Matt Rabanus of Classic Auto Storage. Most are high-mileage, relatively low-value cars. But the one in the front right is the real prize of the bunch, a highly modified Audi screamer that Cook bought from a financial expert in Switzerland. It’s expected to fetch more than $30,000.

Among Trevor Cook's cars up for auction is a wolf-in-sheep's-clothing Audi RS600 sedan that does 200 mph.

    Car sold for $45k

This car sold for 45k. There were 3 of us RS6 owners there to check out the car. Most of the folks there were just looking.

A dirt bad with a greasy t shirt and sweat pants.

We think it was a inside job. The auction staff are hiding something. I think they internally purchased the car and have already flipped it to europe.

I was thinking the same thing until seeing the Craigslisting in the next post -- $80K get real. If I put $50K more into my car I could get way more out of it than that car had and my doors close properly and my trim is all in place to begin with.

Than there is the small matter of no VIN under the windshield or on any of the doors -- mine is also legal.

I am sure it will show up again in a few months if not sooner.

    Bruce,

No kidding man. Pat and James got the guys address. 71 Maverick sitting out front. Jumper cable/battery chargers just laying around the yard.

    RIP RS600

    Jason,

We were keeping this thread at the bottom of the page to keep everyone out.

I was ready to go 50k if needed but the vin closed the deal.

    NO VIN=NO LICENSE PLATES.

Marshal title only gives ownership of the asset. Serial number stamped on inner fender only gives asset status. No way could you title and license this car in the US.

Inside information says the state of MN revoked the title and plates to this car.

DOA as far as I was concerned. Parts car only.

I would like the seats and wheels for starters. Floor mats were kind of cool. The stearing wheel and bling -- forget about it.

Plus the "My other car is a Fieroborghini." bumpersticker never would have come off without leaving residue.

Seriously, the guy had a bunch of hoopties, including, yes, a fiero with a lambo kit body in his "collection."

At least this (untitleable) rarity will never be pawed on by that ponzi-scheming toolbag again.

Nope. I saw that original post and, like you, got bug eyes. Did some fast recon and the whole thing seemed too sketchy. Car doesn't exist in any US DMV database, sneaked in as freight or something.
