yes...try to think if turbo has lp560 power or 458 italia power...or maybe this is a tuned turbo by factory with 560-570hp

previous 997.1 turbo in the same magazine was tested in
    0-100km/h 3,76s
    0-1000mt 21,37s

    997 gt2 made 3,64 and 20,29

    No 1

    gt2 0-1000 in 20.29
    turbo 2 0-1000 in 20,37

we know that the turbo 2 pdk profits from his gearing over the gt2 specialy till about 200kmh.

But after 200kmh gt2 should be significantly faster than the 911 turbo

    times messurerd 0-300kmh

    gt2 33-36 sec
    turbo 2 pdk 40-42 sec

So it could be likely the tested turbo had a bit more than 500hp than other wise the time differant 0-1000 should be bigger than 0.08 secs between gt2 and turbo.

what we have here is the simple formula of AWD + DSG = super 0-60 times.

    please see: GTR

no high performance VW product has that combination yet.

oh wait. porsche is a VW product now

i wonder why VW has treated audi like a read headed step child in that regard. sh*t quattro has been around since the dinosaurs and iirc a little car called the TT had DSG like almost 10 years ago right?
    Past- A4, TT, S4

    Present- R8 V10

If I understand this correctly, it only got 7.5 points for the transmission...

The 996 Turbo was a quick car out of the box even without PDK. Porsche remained rather conservative about their figures untill the GTR came along.

does it mean Porsche has really problems with this new aluminium engine which is not reliable as GT1 block was?

Not necessarily. If you visualise the PDK 997.2TT taking off faster and pulling into the lead, you will see that the 997 GT2 has to be going much faster than the TT before it even catches back up. So whilst the difference in time and distance coverage is small, the speed delta (if shown) would be quite large at 1000m.
