    Will a chipped ECU from another RS6...

    ...work in mine if I just pull the stock one and plug it in?

    Pretty sure not due to the immobilizer. Not sure if you can fix that with VAGCOM or not.

    Negative, it will need to be re-vinned for your car as the immobilizer will not let the car start until this is done.

    you can do it yourself if you got vag-com and the immob. code. its printed on the plastic key that came with the 2 normal keys when you got the car.

    Thanks for the info. I think I know where that key is.

    Now to track down a local with a VAGCOM!

    You dont have the plastic keys from the donor ECU.

    you need the plastic key from the car. basically what you need to do is to match the new ecu to the immobilizer. with the plastic key you have the code for the immob and need to programm the ecu to that key.
