Geneva 2010 - will it take it place in the spring 2010?
Leadfoot, thanks!
Waiting for RS5 to come...
Though I am sure it's the last RS N/A model...
Th trend is to go for S/C, TT engines...
geneva- as i'd expected!
Past- A4, TT, S4
Present- R8 V10
can anyone confirm? or has the engine been confirmed already? Is this some german insurrance thing?

god. i hope they increased the torque and/or lowered the weight in that car.
Past- A4, TT, S4
Present- R8 V10
Another confirmation from myself because i talked with a friend from a dealer and it is an 4.2 HDZ with 8500+ rpm, maybe 8700 like R8 V10 or more (this info wasn't present) and 4.5s to 0-100km/h, DSG 7 Speed, Quattro + Torque Vectoring and big nasty tyres like 265-275 ZR. I would love to have this car. By the way we need to concentrate driving this high revving engine technology because in the near future sadly we will drive vacuum cleaners with not so high rpm and not so loud engine sound and exaust...
Did anybody thought that Audi is at another level vs BMW M3? For example the new M3 GTS has 4.4L and 450HP but Audi RS5 has 450HP from only 4.2L, which one has the better HP/L ration?Yes it's an Audi...
In the future Audi will eclipse BMW even on engines and the RS you know better that are way more performant cars than an M. RS6, TT-RS and near the corner is the new RS5 Coupe...
And I found out that the new RS4 will have 3.0 Supercharged engine plus a turbocharger so will be like the VW TSI only much powerfull and better.
If S4 has closer to 440HP not 333HP on paper (333HP on the wheels) than again imagine what an RS4 will do...
Yes it is better to wait for the RS4 with 3.0 TFSI. The RS5 with NA will be a dinosaur..
Even a R8 with 3.0TFSI Supercharged engine will be a better car then the old R8 4.2 V8.
There are pretenders among us.....
Geniuses with the ability to become anyone they want to be.....
Well, just as an example, I think the E63 vs RS6 vs Panamera Turbo test posted in the RS6 section again goes to show that the best engine solution should be evaluated in each case as part of the overall package - compare overall set-up, cubic metres, fuel consumption and 0-200 kmh and dynamic performance. Who is pre-historic in that test? E63 NA V8? Well, I think not...
rs5 will be a sport classic with hign-rev na motor
many bmw m5/m6/m3 fans will turn to RS5 after BMW releases M with Twin-Turbo
NA engines will be a think of the past in the not too distant future. Future turbo engines will be compact, responsive, dynamic, powerful as well as relatively fuel efficient. A small and efficient engine will also let you reduce weight, thus providing better road holding and dynamics. Audi used to lead the way with its turbo engines in the 80s and 90s, but for some strange reason got blinded by the unsophistication of high displacement NA engines. Now BMW seems to lead Audi.. why wait until BMW launches turbo engines (they already have)? Be a leader Audi (!) and live up to the slogan of vursprung dur technik by launhing the RS5 with 3.0 TFSI..
..Mercedes AMG cars, are nothing but dragsters..
