    a technical question-clarification

in the article of my scans, they wrote about the sport differential "a real and true mechanical rear-differential..."

Am I wrong or I understood reading here about the rs5 that the engine send the torque to the centre where there is a new central mechanical differential that split the torque to the front or rear.

From what I knew on left-right rear-axle there is only a brake function,an evolution of XDS not a true mech LSD

I wait for your clarification about, imho the article in the magazine was wrong...

They were right. The new sport differential LSD in S4, along with the brand new crown differential in RS5, have both functions: if driven normally, they act as regular ESP with separate axles/wheels braking if limits approach; if driven in sport mode - as torque vectoring LSD (all mechanical) where sending and distributing torque across the wheels depending on which wheel/axle has more to do with sending appropriate power for better cornering/exits out of corners.

Yes, and it's not only ''just''! Plus the crown differential...

my "just" was conceived as " has really the same-exact diff?"

I don't know deutch, I even didn't watch video, but I can tell ya:
M3 is best for one, who wants sport.
Benz is great, but not comfortable enough for benz, and too much power for rear axle.
RS5 is not fast anough, but quattro makes it more "real life-oriented" than two other.

^ I wish Audi offered the rims from the M3 on the RS5, must more aggressive looking. Am I the only one that hates the RS5 in red?

Any other colour looks a million times better in my opinion, oh and without that dire alloy pack of course.

Merci! Yes I think it says something about not going above 6,000 rpm for the first 1,000km. I think there is an electronic limiter at 6,000 before the engine warms up too.

So far, it's the perfect car for me.

Was in the dealers today to see the A7 actually but on walking in the door I was met by a grey RS5 wearing 20" alloys. How in the hell could anyone not fall in love with this car, it's simply stunning to look at. Loved the look of the Recaro seats but too tight for my frame.

    P.S.
The A7 is probably Audi's best looking car from the front, beautiful and the rear is nowhere near as ugly as some are making out, but man that interior is breathtaking, the wood trim on the example I saw had a noticeable grain which you could actually feel.

Audi are making some really pretty cars at the moment.
