At this price the car will not be competitive and the sales wont be very high. In my countru it will cost in retail 105k euro with all the taxes, that mean 25% more than m3 dct, equally to GTR, 15% cheaper than M6 and 30% cheaper than 911 Carrera 4S PDK...

RS5 is a very nice and complete package, but i hardly see a lot of customers for it...

Just took a look at what the UK price might be for the RS5 based on KresoF1's €80k start price in Germany and how other performance Audis are priced comparatively. I think £58-£60k for this car is about right in the UK given the M3 is £52k. Of course this is a very rough estimation of UK pricing but a straight £-€ exchange is not how they are priced.

€ in Germany £ in UK Conversion

    RS6 € 108,400 £ 74,555 69%
    TTRS € 55,800 £ 42,985 77%
    R8 V8 € 109,100 £ 82,555 76%
    R8 V10 € 144,400 £ 103,265 72%
    R8 Spyder € 151,800 £ 111,955 74%

    73% Average
    73% Weighted Av.

    RS5 € 80,000 £ 58,679 Average
    £ 61,627 Max
    £ 55,022 Min

Apparently the RS5 will be DSG/S-tronic only.

I think EUR 76.500 with the DSG/S-Tronic in Germany, not more!

The M3 cost around EUR 68.000 or?

Thanks Kreso. I'm not happy with the fact that the car is red with polished wheels for the debut. I figured they would show a different color than the press photos...

I am sure (hope!) there will be other better colours to show off the car, the polished wheels really let it down.
