    I think you perfectly understood what I exactly mean... And price difference is not at all a criteria.

    Cheers man

    guys i have driven the RS5 a big part pf the day on the SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS race circuit in a AUDI SPORTCAR EXPERIENCE...

    I am now very happy to have ordered this car.

    I can confiorm the engine is totally different that RS4 V8.

    it goes in the rpms much faster than RS4V8 smae way the R8 V10 does (which was the second car driven that day).

    or course driving an R8 V10 and a RS5 on same day, makes you feel the RS5 is lacking power.... but its not a fair comparaison...

    all the RS5 (about 12 with 10 driven at the same time) were equiped with:

    * bucket seats
    * sport diferential
    * ceramic brakes
    * dynamic steering
    * standard chassis (so not the DRC only ordereable since a coupel of days as quisha mentionned above)
    * standard exhaust (so not the sport exhaust)

    I have the feeling the bucket seats are a little wider than on RS4 V8. now my ass fits in it more easilt than on RS4 V8 (ans since the time I had RS4 V8, my ass surely took more weight rather then less...)

    Concerning the ceramic brakes. they are fully worth it.... boy this brakes like crazy we had a special brake test to do so we could test the full potential..... never fades.....

    also very impresses with the OEM sound of standard exhaust. much nicer than the RS4 V8 sound which in my view was very lousy.... I can't wait to hear the sport version of that exhaust. I also had the feeling thet the flaps make a bigger difference between confort/auto mode or dynamic....

    I did not take the sport exhsust as I know anyway I am goign to develop a exhsust for that car....

    concernign the dynamic steering I heard so much controverses around this.... I did not have any bad feeling about it at all. never had a feeling that it felt weird...

    a good thing is that it decreases the amoiunt of sterign wheel ditance to trun when you are still.... and incerases the demiultiplication when driving faster... makes total sense.... and happy i took the option.

    overall it is very different from RS4 V8. and Ritchy, do not wory it is a great car. migh consider the dynamic steering wheel option though .

    in terms of handling in has little body roll. of course more than R8 V10... but again this is not compariong same philosophy of car.... you feel safe in the race track and can corner at very fast speeds...

    Don't worry about the DRC. Although great concept a awesome when it works, you will be better suited and save money in the long run by getting KW coilovers. RS6 owners know exactly what I'm talking about. Jump on RS6 forum and check some of the threads. Much of what you get on the new RS's is a derivative of the C5 RS6....

    Can this be confirmed? As this was definitely something I wanted.

    Thanks

    DRC = Dynamic Ride Control. It's pretty basic knowledge if you're into Audi RS cars.

    You're welcome!

    Teknikens Värld - track comparison - times only, but they were actually trying to find the car which was best to drive, not the fastest, which this list doesn't show.
    The RS5 got 7:th, not too bad considering the cars ahead. The Panamera ended up on the 14L:th place.

    1. Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera 1,09.1 (new record)
    2. Porsche 911 Turbo 1,10.3
    3. Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG 1,11.4
    4. Audi R8 V10 Spyder 1,11.7
    5. Porsche Boxter Spyder 1,12.9
    6. Porsce Panamera Turbo 1,13.6
    7. Audi RS5 1,13.8
    8. Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 1,14.9
    9. BMW Z4sDrive35is 1,15.8
    10. VW Scirocco R 1,16.6
    11. Renault Megane RS 1,17.8
    12. Seat Leon Cupra R 1,18.0
    13. Opel Insignia OPC 1,18.4
    14. Mazda 3 MPS 1,18.7
    15. Peugeot RCZ THP 200 1,20.3
    16. Seat Ibiza Cupra 1,20.6
    17. Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart 1,22.3
    18. Alfa Romeo Mito Quadrifoglio Verde 1,23.7
    19. Honda CR-Z 1,27.7
    20. Ford Focus RS500 no official time (broken clutch)

    One could note that on the list of the funniest / best handling car the top 5 were cars Audis or made/owned by VAG (incl Porsche).
    Only the MB made it to the top 5 outside the VAG world.

    Seat Leon Cupra R came 6:th Audi RS5 7:th.

    The A5 and S5 will be more affected..

    Qisha, can you tell us more What will be changed? Dashboard, middle console, MMI system liek new A8 or A7?

    How could possibly rs5 beat carrera S in slalom?? And at the same time got better lap time And btw, rs5 got 0-100 0,3 seconds faster then oficcial data - none of tests got even close to this. This comparison is...hm...not too true-to-life)
