    Goodbye !

Less than a week on the market and the car is sold.... the new owner seems like a genuine four rings enthusiast. Mixed emotions on selling to be sure, but I think the Beast has gone to a good home, which lessens the pain...

I will also miss the quality of this forum, particularly in its early days (thank you, Eric!), and will continue to lurk. When The Replacement arrives (isn't there always one?) maybe I'll post some comments.

Goodbye to all and good luck, and keep enjoying your great cars!

Another original owner bites the dust! I am sorry to see it go Spin and I'm sure it will be missed...

I'm sure your fellow Canadian buddy would love to know what you really got for it - care to share?

    The Replacement has arrived!

Well, it's a very different car, to say the least...

I've had the car for less than one week, but I can say with ease that for me this is a better proposition as a daily driver. For a car so heavy (probably 150-200 lbs. more than the B5 RS6), it does a remarkable imitation of my Exige in how it flows over the road. The RS6 in contrast felt like it was trying to bash the road into submission. This I'm sure is in part due to the weight distribution but the variable suspension gets much of the credit. The point is driven home when you realize the wheels are 20" with 35 and 30 profile tires!

And the interior is fabulous - a blend of materials that look and feel beautiful and a real sense of style.

Rear wheel drive and 510 hp and temperatures around freezing mean I haven't really opened the taps (plus I have no desire to roast my snow tires), although the delivery is more linear than the RS6 and seat of the pants says it's substantially faster (as it should be). Even with snows, though, it grips well in corners and is delightfully neutral at speeds that would see the RS6 starting to warn of understeer. Brakes are more progressive than on the RS, although there is a bit more squidge on initial application of the pedal (which is probably making them easier to modulate, on the road at least).

My Beast is missed (pics below are taken day of sale), but this is a more than worthy replacement.

Best of luck to you all and hold the RS flag up high!

    Welcome back!

Great looking car and the color is perfect.

I'm no huge fan of the interior, but it is a good looking car and it's fast as well.

    Have fun!

    Very nice indeed.

Certainly a step up from the S-Type which was a PoS IMO.

The new Jag looks a lot like the new Ford Taurus. I wonder why

Man, that doesn't look like the US Taurus. That one looks pretty slick, US version isn't too bad but to me looks more like a Chrysler 300.
