Extra pillar = extra strength achieved with less weight (but with slightly compromised rear visibility).

I love the front end, the rear is a bit too much for me, but good...

The rear should have the same retro style of lights.
    The fins are non-existent?!?.
The hood should also have the same retro look (stinger style), otherwise it just doesn't get my blood boiling...(not to say that is all it takes)

The 63 split window was the first year of that style (gen 3?) and there were some very rare and special items in/on those split windows. Personally, gen 3 (if I am correct on that) was the absolute best styling of the corvette.

To just redesign the outside and touch-up the inside is just... cosmetics. NOW if they put in that ZL1 motor, that is another story.

Dad used to have one so I am familiar with them. Nostalgia is an interesting thing. The 63' drove like sh!t, handled like sh!t, and despite how good the ZL1 motor was, is also sh!t in comparison to the all the stuff the modern Corvette has. Seriously, drive a 63' today. After about 50 miles, you'll be begging to get out.

Don't get me wrong, the styling is sooooo sexy, but seriously, that is where it stops. Old has nothing on the new, except in our minds...

    Just my $0.0000002.

    Flame suit ON!

I am not flame throwing or even warming it up...

I complete get what you are saying as it was a handling nightmare compared to today's level of handling.

Yeah it is hard to let go of the '63 but then again, maybe the new one has to grow on me a bit... It is almost like crushing of a name or moniker...

    On that, we completely agree.

If GM can make the final as close to the concept as they did with the new Camaro, they will have a winnAr on their hands!

I am pleasantly surprised with the Camaro (SS only) on how well it came out! And the Challenger!

Not so with the Charger, Impala and the Monte Carlo...

Now if they can just leave the Chevelle as is...
