If you want to know, how all this started - here is a good read:

    Day1.

    - Pick up of the Audi R8 V10 at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt

    Day2:

    - Loop around Lake Garda
    - and a small surprise on the west side...

    Day3:

    - Passo Stelvio / Stilfserjoch
    - St. Moritz (Boris Becker's wedding day )
    - Some more passes
    - Lake Como

    Day4:

    - Stella round (Passo Stella, Pordoi ...)
    - Staller Sattel
    - Lienz

Day 5: En route to Vienna

Gorgeous pics - breathtaking scenery everywhere one looks.

I guess I'll have no choice but to try to re-trace your route - someday!

Fantastic views, a fantastic car... Probably one of the best ones ever made to do that. What more could you need?

    Thanks for sharing!

Will do, where there ~14:00, had a late lunch and of we went to Como.

We are seriously thinking about doing a similar tour again next year.

I sure got addicted: to the R8 AND the Alpine passes

    Day 3 / part 1: Audi R8 V10 meets Stelvio

    Boy, was that a ride.

And one thing i learned on this trip . it can make a huge difference from which side you approach a pass.

    Enough said - enjoy

Hahaha, nice Roadrunner, I was one of the first officers flying you to the Lofoten islands, Leknes to be exactly, the 18. or 19. of september. I was so jealous of you guys going to drive that challange. How did you sign up for that?

then you flew the setup crew. We flew in on the 21st in two waves from Bodo as one plane was too small for all of us.

There was a ruffle on the german Audi page for Audi drivers. After two selection rounds, i was one of the lucky ones chosen.

The Leknes approach was a steep one

Ahh, ok, too bad you didn't have the best weather, stunning view when it's free of clouds. Nice pic's btw. Yep, all the approches to the short fields are based on 4,5+ degrees approach instead of the usual 3 degrees you'll find on regular airfields. (shortfield: approx 800 m, regular: from 1199 m up to usually 3000 m LDA (Landing Distance Available)) The Dash 8 100' series is one of few that actually can do this kind of approaches up to 7 degrees. The Worlds best office in my opinion.

Considering the cars you drove it seems like it was a nice trip, rain or not. Lucky you.
