    Ruf ctr3

    So it's 2007. Everyone is exited after the rumors of RUF launching a new car....soon enough we know that the car is the CTR3, a true legend being reborn.

    A few images pop up on the internet, there's a video of the launch...and that's about it. What ever happened to this car and why have we not heard about it at all...no test drives from magazines....no video shootout against other cars...no nothing. Does anybody know if the car was cancelled?

    AMS has driven it. EVO has driven it.

    The car is not cancelled. I have seen a picture where there are 4-5 CTR3s in the factory.

    The car was at Geneva Autoshow 2009, Festival of Speed and TOP MARQUES MONACO.

    You can even buy the CTR3 watch

    Nice, not too sure on it's status as a future classic like the other CTRs, but time will tell!

    How much of that is 911 and how much of it is Cayman?

    Ha! thanks Erik, I was waiting for your post to confirm the go for the production or not...it's like I'm going to buy one ir anything, just curious. Thanks again.

    From what I can remember....at the beggining there was a lot of people saying that this was just a Cayman chasis on steroids, then Erik told us that this was an entirely new chasis delevoped entirely by RUF. I hope my memory serves me right, otherwise please correct me.

    Yes, he's from Rumania I think.

    The front bit is 911 GT3 (crash safety), rear part is RUF.
