    Feeler: Aftermarket rotors .

Looking to get rotors done to replace OEM.
    Few things i mush accomplish:
    1. Lighter than stock.
    2. Slotted or plain.
    3. 2-piece design with aluminum hats.
    4. Price around $750 for the fronts.
    5. Larger vents for better cooling.
    6. Same size to fit stock calipers and pads.

    Any interest?
Fronts only or front and back?

I don't think you're probably going to get much better design than what Jimmy's group did (I believe they went with a modified NASCAR design) and unless you've got a hook into a shop or a really big group buy, pricing isn't going to get a whole lot better than the $550-$600/pair front rotors that's been floated out there.

Incidentally, Jimmy's group only did the fronts, not saying that that is the way to go but just a data point.

Read this thread from a couple weeks ago. I believe there's another thread on this topic from last week also.

    Best of luck, Jim

I really have no idea what your asking for here?

    Are you buying or selling?

Your car (from memory) has lots of mods. What are you trying to replace or upgrade from?

?? I really dont have a clue what your asking for?

I may have had too many hits last night.

I have RS6 front brakes installed and will be installing rear also.
    Front rotors are heavy.
Shaving 3-5lb off each corner would be nice.
I'm looking if there is interest in aftermarket rotors.
I'm looking to get the rotors for myself.
If there is interest i can get a few sets done, so it would be cheaper.

What is the weight of the stock front rotor?

Don't quote me on this, but I read somewhere that our front rotors are 24lbs each.

I'll weight my spares tonight but 25~26lbs rings a bell for the fronts. I'll weight a set of the rears too.

Just weighted a set of new front and rear rotors. The fronts are 25# each and the rears are a much lighter 14.25#.

Looks like the weight of the fronts will be around 20lb and about 12lb for the rears.
