Any new info on the arrival of the B8 RS4? Ive heard the RS5 and RS4 will have 480 bhp?!

It's still not confirmed that there will be a B8 RS4, indeed hints from Audi top management suggest the next RS4 might be a B9 and be based on the B8 S4 S/C V6.

I can tell there is no RS4 B8 planned for the near future.
RS5 Coupe and Sportback first.

It's funny but I was speaking with a friend (Sales Manager of a VW dealership) and he confirmed what I have been saying about the Sportback, he basically told me that they could probably sell double the amount of Passat CCs over the regular Passat but for the choice of giving it only two rear seats.

I will insist on saying that a 4 seater, 4 door hatchback is a missed opportunity on Audi's part.

From a very trusted friend in Audi Quattro Gmbh, nobody knows for sure now, it all depends on the market evolution after this crissis, but what they do know is because there will be an RS5 (coupe) and RS5 sportback (4 doors saloon kind of) there will only be an RS4 Avant, as the B5. And it will most certain come after the B8 facelift, the B9/. As for the engine, there are at least 2 choices that are walking the streets right now, the market being the one that will choose between the two in the near future.

I will put an order down on a RS5 soon as a forced induction engine is confirmed. If the NA 4.2 engine will be fitted, I will look elsewhere..

The RS5 is confirmed as a 450PS version of the NA 4.2 V8 - better breathing due to a redesigned inlet system is the main reason for the increase from 420 to 450PS.

This was also true for the RS4 B8...
