Folks: My beloved RS6 is up for grabs. Bought it with only 11K (!), after 4 years only ~31K easy total km. Upgrades include STASIS chip to 512hp (done through local Audi dealer), full sound system upgrade with Alpine IVE W535 head unit, new sub, preamp and speakers (original BOSE system also included for the new owner), hands free BT, Passport Escort 9500ci radar detector/laser jammer. All factory recalls and updates done through local Audi dealer including DRC. Changed timing belt and water pump. New front brakes, new battery. Regularly serviced every 5K at Audi with a mechanic in Vancouver who trained on the RS6 in Germany. Traded it in for a shiny new RS7 but I still kind of miss it and want to see it sold to someone who appreciates what it for what it is:

I bet the RS7 is AMAZING!!!

So the VIN looks to be on the lower side of the numbers for a good trans or tc. Right around 5500 seems to be the point where they started getting better, improved seal in the TC. You ever have to replace the torque converter or trans? Cheers!

RS7 is all that it was advertised to be! No problems whatsoever with the transmission or torque converter. It ran like a dream although really I only put 20k on it in 3 years so nothing would be expected to fail! Aside from the brakes all of the things I did were preventative in nature (ie timing belt and water pump)

ha ha. Guess I should have clarified. I sold the Mugello Blue ride. The one with 236000 miles on it. New owner was pleased to get it and I'm sure it will provide many a weekend of lesiure driving for him. Back to having two with one for summer and one for winter.

I was going to use an SL55 for those seasons, but then got to thinking about how much more $$$ would disappear from my wallet over and above the RS. lol

Went to purchase a set of used tires this afternoon for one of my other rides and as luck would have the seller just picked up a 2004 beast with a shot tranny a couple of months ago. They all start looking the same after having owned a trio of them...(in fact it was a direct match for my Daytona except for the wheels which you can see behind it) lol

Looks like he's going to tackle overhauling the tranny himself with a Level10 kit. Only talked briefly about the 'fun' driving and maintaining this model of Audi provides. Suggested he sign-up for this forum to benefit from the community of knowledge.

hello all.... just picked up an 03 Daytona/Black from another enthusiast. (104,xxx miles). Car is beautiful. Been lurking here for a little while. I cam coming from a series of UrS6's and one C5 S6. I moved on from the C5 S6 because I wanted manual transmission back.... but found the sacrifice easier this time with so much more car/power. The car is well sorted. Trans/TQ Converter were replaced (CPOd) by Audi ~75000. DRC gone, Konis in its place. Hotchkis front and rear. Milltek Res Exhuast. Gutted DPs, 10secTune, MTM Trans tune. Full TB service done last week with full pics/records.. FYI, the belt (OEM) that came off the car had ZERO wear.... ZERO.... so while I plan on checking the belt @ 30k miles, I don't think it will need to be done again until 165-170k miles. Complete set of records from day one. LCA/UCA etc all done recently, all OEM parts. 19" OEM RS4 wheels.

Only thing I need to do is rear brakes. Been looking at all the 01E conversions... tempting, but I know there is one person out there in MA having problems with the registry after doing that..

Definitely going to be more of a challenge to work on than my UrS... but I pulled and rebuilt the engine in that... also swapped in an updated 01E with a 6th gear. So, while I have the tools and some experience... the packaging (10lbs of stuff in a 5lbs bag) will take some time to review and to get my bearings.

Anyhow, already found a lot of helpful information on this forum..... quality forums is always part of the criteria for my car purchases.

    Hello all
just picked up a nice 68,000 mile example of this fine automobile. Vin is 45?? Something? I'll get it soon.
Completely dealer serviced and owned by passionate owners. Dark blue. (I'm still learning colors)

two things id like to do:
    1. Tune- need advice on who, what, when, where and why
    2. Change symphony Ii out for newer Audi head unit.

Many many thanks to Erik for acknowledging I'm not a robot

Glad you could join us. After you post you VIN on this thread, maybe start another in the general question area, much easier to get responses.

Tune - Eurocharged, EPL, AMD, 10SecS4 (member on here), 034 Motorsports, APR, and Revo are all options....many people like 10secS4's tune, solid. You can find info from most of the company websites. GIAC is the one to stay away from. Keep in mind the tune could/will decrease the life of your transmission if driven hard, so be ready to cough up $5-10k depending on many factors.

Radio - There is the RNS-E, a digital version with NAV of our stock one, the RNS-D. Pioneer and a few other companies make nice touch screens that can be fit with a custom backing.

Search using Google for these topics. Use "site:rs6.com" in your search to narrow it down to our site. You'll get some trash in the links also, just go back then forward in your browser and it seems to bypass it.
    Ace/Edge TC - Tozo Trans - MTM TCU - REVO/ME7 tune - Wagner IC's w/ Venair Hoses - Aux Radiator delete - Hotchkis Sways - Hawk HPS Pads - Koni Sport Struts - Scroll KO4 Turbos - Devil's Own WM - 421whp/452wtq on Mustang Dyno - http://www.audirssix.com
