I'm using the iridiums right now but no changes noted that I can tell and Denso says the change interval is less than NGK so I think I'll just go back to NGK next time, their about the same price mail order.

i'm running denso platinum tt... no misfires here... i'm flashed with REVO

I agree with terrytcl, my tuner installed Denso platinums when he installed the REVO flash. Works great. The deer here in Kentucky are helping to improve my reaction times.
All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best- Occam's Razor
Nothing wrong with OEMs........
So fast, it will re-arrange yer trousers!!
At least in Norway, many of the tuners for I5 engines recommend the F5DP0R plugs.
The F5DPOR plugs are OEM on the I-5 DOHC turbos. And yes, most tuners say stick with them. They are close to the same price as our NGK's.

been running denso platinum tts for a couple thousand miles... no misfires no problems.
they are $2 plugs can't go wrong with that
the platinum tt plugs have a stamped upper electrode to mimic the center electrode

ok guys, sorry for bringing this thread up from the past, but...
those that are chipped, what plugs are you running?
i have the platinum tts in right now, but want to go a step colder.
the stock PFR7Q are not available in PFR8Q, which would be a step colder.
the alternate from NGK is BKR7E and BKR7EIX, copper and iridium respectively.
i've been reading about a lot of people using the F5DPOR from bosch, however according to the part deciphering, the heat range is 5. heat range on stock RS6 NGK plugs are 7. once step colder would be 8.
is it because the F5DPOR plugs are side ignition type plugs? anyone using them?
also, the only 8 range NGK plugs i could find are BKR8EIX, which are the iridiums.
no luck on copper
for denso, as mentioned intially, IK20 is stock for their iridium and PK20TT for thier platinum twin tip plug.
But, if you go to their cross reference chart, BKR7E comes out to be IK22 and BKR8E comes out to be IK24
so, if i'm running PK20TT, am I running 1 step hotter?
what's up with all these different heat ranges across companies?

NGK works great, I did it on mine, GIAC ecu, felt difference from start

The heat range does not directly transfer between brands I don't think. I run the OEM bosch ones in my stage 3 S4 still. Bosch F5DPOR. According to research these are 2 heat ranges colder then stock. My S4 sees over 20psi daily and has been running flawlessly for 2 years with no issues.(about 25k).
They are a spendy plug at around $15 a piece. Strongly considering these for my RS6. These side fires don't need to be gapped and love boost!

want to revisit this again. considering these next as they are much cheaper then the F5DPOR that I currently have in my S4. Ultimately in the past I go with what the producer of the chip or dyno tuner recommends. I have made a trip to a dyno several times with brand new plugs only to get the tuner to complain and change to plugs of his choice. Using car runs better anyway. As for my opinion on copper plugs in turbo cars.....great if you dont mind gapping and changing every oil change!

Of course something else could provide some slight improvement...or decline.
