    It's remarkable how similar the roof lines are between the A5 Sportback and the new Jaguar XJ.

    Very good observation, Leadfoot. I tend to prefer the Audi by a significant margin. The Jaguar seems to be overwrought with very fussy detailing. I don't like the black c-pillars either. But the overall proportions of both cars are undeniably elegant. The Audi has a more restrained appearance in my book and i tend to like it for that reason. The only thing i don't like is the four seats. if it had a five-seat option then the more sporty drivers amongst us wouldn't be forced to buy the A4 Avant instead!
