    Should I buy an RS6?

This is my first post so hello all of you.

I am thinking about buying an RS6 (02/03), I have a few reasons why I want to but I was wondering whether there are any reasons not to buy one.

I also have a few questions about the car itself, if you'll bare with me.

    Why to buy:

I currently have a UrS6 (5cyl Turbo), I love the car, it's mildly tuned (280bhp) but I'm getting sick of having to give it almost constant attention. Every time I go to repair something, something else breaks, I'm sure most of you know the score.

The RS6 looks very plush and comfortable. Is it?

    It has lots of toys.

    It has 450 bhp.

They are (relatively) cheap to buy. Compared to an equivalent RS4 for example.

I live 2 miles from Unit 20 (Griz?)

Ok, are you convinced? Should I buy one?

Looking around, I've come to a decision about the spec of the car, I'd like your comments on this too if that's ok.

NOT Silver or Grey (would like to avoid black too).

NOT Silver/creme/any other light colour interior.

MUST have carbon fibre inlays (like my UrS6 :cool2: )

    MUST be an Avant.

Would prefer wide screen Sat Nav.

Prefer no DRC or at least have a watertight warranty.

Not bothered about steering wheel design.

I know I'm being fussy, but I'm like that.

One last thing, what colour/trim/interior/audio spec could you get? Can someone list the available colours of car, trim colours, insert colours, audio options, roof lining options etc, please?

I hope to have many a laugh on here and if I buy one I'm sure most of you will help me batter my Credit Card into submission too.

    Thanks chaps.

A gentleman posted yesterday that he is thinking about selling his RS6. It is a rare color, YELLOW and trust me it is absolutely beautiful! Here is the link to that thread and he is asking a very nice price.

Lovely color yes, it's not an Avant though and I'm in the UK.

    Thanks for the thought.

In any case, welcome Animal Mother, and sorry about the troubles registering.

I hope you get one, there should be a lot of bargains in the UK at the moment.

Can anyone tell me what this colour is, and if it was available in the UK?

    Is alacantra headlining standard?

Is the interior with leather bolsters and fabric seat centres special?

    Mugello Blue

    Yes

You live 2 miles from Grizz. You are a lucky man. Thats like having the crack dealer as your brother. (joke, just expanding on the above statement) He can and will hook you up with all normal maint and upgrades.
