Looking at this car I can't stop thinking, is this an Audi? For real? BMW, Mercedes where are you?
The wheels...this car needs the LP-640's in it. Other than that it looks amazing. Looking forward for some numbers.
Just had to change my underwear....awesome pictures!!!'
Love the one with the V8 R8 and the V10 R8. The v8 looks almost "classy" while the V10 looks like "business"
jesus. i think i will have to get one come hell or high water. and this might actually be the first red car i will buy in my life. it is just insane. it actually looks (and makes you feel) like you are looking at the R8 again for the first time. the same butterflies, the same lightheadedness, the same light stomach. these audi designers are geniuses. are they from another planet? it's almost like the entire company is from another time in the distant future. i do not exaggerate when i say that this car makes the electric blue 09 LP-640 roadster i saw the other day look like my granny's underwear.

Haha R...
You fall in love so easily! The last time I got lightheaded, I had two female companions, some white powdery substance, a lot of champagne, toy with me for hours on end (It was the 80's).
Seriously... you need to get out more often. Better yet, I may be coming to Orlando in June 09. We'll both have to get out!
I like it R.. The V10 looks so much more aggressive. Specially the rear diffuser and the 2 fin grills on front and rear corners. I'm not too sure about the front license grill yet. Will make that call when I see it in person.
Get one... And call my wife and tell her there's an emergency that needs my attention. She knows I'm not a doctor, so be creative!
hey Jeff!!!
we definitely have to hang out. what about march? the one and only time the R15 will race in US soil will be sebring. but june is great. send me dates and info when you have them so i can make sure i'm not out of town.

The list price in the UK will be £99,575 on-the-road with a six speed manual gearbox, which I have ordered, and £104,665 with R tronic sequential shift transmission, the 525bhp R8 weighs only 31kg more than the V8 powered version at 1,620kg – giving a useful power to weight ratio of 324PS per ton.
The V10 RS8 is good for 0-62mph in 3.9secs and a top speed of 196mph.
Visually the R8 V10 is similar to the V8, but the new top model gets unique 19ins alloy wheels and a handful of subtle body mods. These include high-gloss front grille and front air intakes, more pronounced side sills, wider side cooling vents, high gloss rear air outlets, oval tailpipes and a new rear diffuser.
The V10 also boasts a ‘world first’, says Audi – all LED headlamps as standard. For the first time high intensity diodes are used for low and high beam settings as well as for the indicators.
Inside, extra standard equipment included electric adjustment and heating for the Nappa leather seats, DVD satnav, and a 465 watt B&O sound system.
I have just cancelled my V8 order in favour of the V10, I cant wait I should be getting it in April 09.
Sorry to hear that Audi US have said that they are not expecting the V10 to hit the US for at least a year
Sorry to hear that you gu
congrats street rod.
AOA is sandbagging the V10 US sale date in order to recalculate US assigned volumes. i suspect V8 allocations will be drastically reduced very soon given the overall economic climate. regardless, i expect V10 deliveries to actually start around last quarter of next year. as an example, based on my specific place in line, i expect to get mine feb 2010. fine by me. it is nice to anticipate things. and gives me time to take care of other things.

I love everything apart from the new blacked out middle section at the rear. If I had the money (which I don't) I would have to either colour code this or pick the car in black to hide this section.
It's a bad move by Audi on this one.
Search and you will find the truth.
Just to correct weight claims little bit...
As we already know:
R8 4.2 FSI 1560kg manual 1565kg R Tronic
R8 5.2 FSI 1620kg manual 1625kg R Tronic
New 5.2 FSI V10 is 31kg heavier then 4.2 FSI V8.
