Pictures of Ebony Black S4 Avant

I took some pictures of the new s4 i ordered
in the same colour and interior. Ebony black perl
and silver leather seats.
I took them at the showroom where i drove the new
s4 for the first time. Absolutely amazing car.
Can,t wait untill delivery in January.Production of the tiptronic
starts around week 45 i learned.
The pics are a bit blurry but i did not want to keep them from
you.

So you ordered tiptronic? I think it will be a nice option for people who spend more time on the busy roads than on track.

After production it will probably take about two weeks
to get it to holland. Then a dvd system needs to be installed
so i am looking at earliest delivery somewhere around week
49 to 50. Better to take it into 2004 for a 2004 registration.
But still too long !!

Now i understood that there where some problems with the
tiptronic gearbox. Anyone knows if they will use the same
one from the RS 6 ??

Hey Roel, heb ik toevallig de S4 Avant Black vanavond gezien. We kwamen vanuit Apeldoorn, de gingen de afslag in, we reden met een aardige snelheid de (afslag in) en ik zag dat er een zwarte audi A4 avant, even snel in de bocht reed, en de wegligging zag er goed uit....Toen we dichterbij kwamen zag ik met grote ogen dat het een S4 was. We reden na de afslag heel kort achter je (blauwe Astra Coupé Turbo) en toen nam de S4 de afslag naar leusden. De bestuurder van de S4 nam een blik naar ons, en ik stak een duim op .

But Roel, Maybe i saw u in the S4 Yesterday Night, on the HighWay. We came from the Direction Apeldoorn, en we went in to the corner, with some speed (Blue Astra Coupe Turbo) BUT i saw a black Audi A4, my eyes went big because we drove min. 90 km/h and the audi drove just relax in the corner
.
When we came closer my thought's we right, it was a Audi S4 Avant! We stayed 3 min. right behind you, and then you left the highway to Leusden, and the S4 Driver took a look to us, and i smiles and did t his well, it was nice to see a S4 Avant on the HighWay for the fist time, with a little bit of action

Hi Amrit

Thanks for the reply , however unfortunately
it was not me. I am still waiting for the car
which will be ready in week 47 as the tiptronic
gearbox will only be available starting week 45.

I have not seen any new S4 s on the road in Holland
except for the trial car from PON in Leusden . That
is probably also where the car was from. That is actually
the same black s4 that was previously in the PON ( Audi)
showroom. I guess the must have sold it or put it on the
road for testdrives.

Anyway You must have been able to give it a good challenge
right ??? Astra Turbo must be very quick also.

Maybe, your right, about the Pon Car. And i saw the photo's of the black S4 and i knew that it is in Leusden (import of audi netherlands) But if it was a test drive, at 22:30....strange time for a test drive, haha.

About the challenge, in the corner we we could give some challenge, but on the straigt road, i went back to my 4th Gear (the astra goes 210 km/h in his 4th gear )
5th Gear!! back to 4.500 RPM, we where fast, BUT the 345 HP and 4.2 V8 Engine, against an verry shy 2.0L Turbo 210 HP (standart 190 HP but we have a Turbo Timer and other air supply) untill 220 km/h, we couldn't read the licence-plate anymore and we smiled and S4.....
We looked to our Sigaret-box in the car, and the Stinger was quiet.

So it was a bit of nice road challange...
