Could take a look at it today in Ingolstadt downstairs in the garage...
looks great in dark collors and Pics don't do it any justice... but the wheelsize is huge... 19" and winter tires and no low profile tyres look strange....

As I said before it's huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge....
But, there will be no M7, and there will be an S8. Sure, it will sacrifice comfort. But that's just part of the enjoyment of the sensation of speed in a "Sport" model anyway. If they bring the comfort level down to that of the 7, perhaps they can match or exceed it's handling. The A8 shares genes with the Bentley GT platform, and with the old GT they've got a pretty sharp chassis, especially in the SS version.

Yes, I do understand what you're trying to say, but I was just translating what was said in the video report .....
I can tell what the guy writes in this first-drive.
He says he was a huge fan of previos A8.
About the new one's design he says like "S-klass and 7-er are so tired running one after the other, trying to beat the rival, while the new A8 is just like came from holidays. All fresh but not too complicated"
Concerning ride he says it's much more comfy and the gearbox always goes to upper gear, hardly goes to lower one, accelerator is long-thinking etc. But it all changes with switching to dynamic mode. Then he can remember the beloved previous A8: the only sporty saloon in this class. And, unlike BMW, it really changes a lot while you swith to different modes in Audi Drive Select.
So generally that's all he said.

Beautiful pictures of the new A8 in Chicago! Amazingly, the photographs were actually taken with the old A8 in each of the frames and rearranged. For example the top photograph is of the Dirksen Federal Building-Mies van de Rohe and of the Marquette Building. The buildings are a block apart but appear to coexist on the same block
I found the A8 looks way better and sleeker in pictures taken from the eye level height.
The A8 looks amazing in the above pictures. The sleekness is very elegant and refined with a touch of forward motion. Not overdone at all. If it looks like this in person from a direct view, then all the negative remarks regarding its exterior are unwarranted. It has that perfect Audi look to it - clean and not overdone with a stealth appearance. I am not sure how anyone can say the Ms. Piggy 7-Series and the bulbous truck like S-Class compare to this design. Even the new XJ from the side view and the rear view looks very strange especially with those quirky tail lights. Audi knew what it was doing with the new A8L. Definitely, attention getting if this is coming at you on the road. I cannot wait to order mine this year!! The rim package will be very important when outfitting the new A8L. The rims in the second and third picture do not work well with the exterior. However, the rims in the first picture are the ones to have as long as they are 20" or 21" to fill in the large wheel wells.

I went last night to Chicago Auto Show, specifically to see the new A8 (I don't go to that show anymore ,since it's a waste of time mostly, with crowds and very few interesting cars).
That car has no presence,it's "gravitas" is on par with Avalon or Genesis ,that's how bland looking it is,an overblown A4.
It has a terriffic interior,I was very, very impressed by it (coming from CGT Speed) but that's about it.
If you are looking for an absolute stealth mobile this is it......
