1st observation - seems to lack foglights - instead TWO radars (?)

Like the evolution of the Audi Single Frame Grill (SFG) & new LED daytime running lights

Don't like the A6 C7 impression top right

...Rumour suggests that the W12 will reappear, but personally I am not convinced that this thirsty motor has continuing curb appeal.

Has been confirmed & in Russia + China, the curb appeal is still there

What of the 4.0 litre V8 diesel and much anticipated 4.0 litre V8 petrol TFSI? And, of course, hybrid drive will need to be part of the equation.

With you on that, especially 4.0 TFSI

that grill is insanely huge, especially relative to the logo, not up to Audi's proportional standards. Defo pchop.

I sincerely hope it's a photoshop, the new A8 generation has so much potential to make a design statement, usher Audi into a new era especially since 7 series F01 and 5 series F10 BMW are pretty much look-a-likes. Giant simplistic grille and headlamps .. c'mon Audi you can and you should do better, we want sophistication and progress. The C7 A6 mokup is closer to my taste.

If Audi has been this insanely uptight with leaks about the A8 and it turns out only a mild stylistic refreshment it would be quite a bummer.

IMO it would be completly pointless to bring the new A8 again with the old style of SFG ... so that's the first point why the AutoBild Pictures couldn't be real...

Well, I know Motor Authority aren't exactly the font of all knowledge but according to this article there will be:

Filling out the rest of the engine range will be a 250 horsepower 3.0-liter V-6 TDI, a 290 horsepower 3.0-liter V-6 FSI, a 340 horsepower 4.2-liter V-8 TDI, a 372 horsepower 4.2-liter V-8 FSI and finally a 620 horsepower 5.0-liter V-10 FSI reserved for the S8. A 12-cylinder engine is also expected to be offered but it could be phased out due to low demand and the all-important emissions regulations.

Rgrd engine line-up - Audi HAS to launch smth in the territory 500+ to compete with S63 and 760i... I dont believe it will launch smth in the territory 600+ to compete with S65 AMG

would be nice if they introduced the S8 at the same time as the A8. the most important engines will be the midrange diesel and top range gas choices because they will anticipate what will power the rest of audi's lineup including the next R8.

i suspect the front will look like those pics, but the back will not be so advanced. exhaust will be more conventional. the interior will be standout- i still expect a completely LED instrument panel like the new range rover and touch screen for the new MMI.
