There are pretenders among us.....
Geniuses with the ability to become anyone they want to be.....
I like this round steering wheel center much better, and I like this color alot!
Looks great in that colour.
What colour is it?
Lovee that color
It starts to 'take shape'' in our eyes...
It might be "grey lava metallic" or whatever it's cold in english i don't know
this thing is amazing! I like it more and more everyday...
I've just visited a very private presentation of the new A8 in Moscow.
The car was not very full, with usual bi-xenon, not full lether package and 19", not 20" rims.
But looks great. Really better than on pictures.
I pretty liked the pictures as well, but in real life she's much more a looker!
The interior is manufacured with just awesome quality and attention to details.
And I wonder how it feels with full lether!

And the most important guys!
I saw a brochure with all the specs of future coming engines! Unfortunately I can't remember exactly, but..
The first to come (2010) is 3.0TDI, then 3.0TFSI with 290bhp.
Then 6.3 W12 with only LWB. Don't remember exactly, I was too exited , but seems like 500bhp and early 2011.
The 4.0TFSI with 420bhp (for sure) in 4Q 2011.
And, finally, the with 4.0TFSI and 500 bhp, 2012.
Great engines are coming , unfortunately not too soon
I had just a couple of seconds or so to look through this brochure, and evidently noone would give me a copy of it
But still some info I've caught!
The color looks really good on this example. It makes the rims actually look better than some of the previous shots I've seen of the new A8L. It is going to be a tough choice which color and rim package to choose. I hope Audi offers some exlusive packages especially for the interior from quattro GmbH. This color makes the A8 look sleek. It should be something in person. Cannot wait!
"Four Rings to Rule Them All - Audi"
These rims are 20" and, if I understood the german configurator correctly, they are forged. And that's good, because they are light and strong
Chuvips-
great post about the engines. they all make sense.
i expected the 4.0T would come in two states of tune- i can't wait till it replaces the aging low tune NA 4.2. audi probably had it ready, but decided to revise it before launch to increase fuel economy and reliablity as it will probably go into many models- from the A6 to the A7, new Q7, and the A8, and in performance versions of many of those cars at a higher state of tune- not to mention the next gen R8.
i know bmw had many probs with the original 335i engine and hence recently changed it to a twin scroll single turbo set up. audi is being smart.
Past- A4, TT, S4
Present- R8 V10
Yes, I'd heard that 4.0T also comes in two states of tune.
Sorry to say this again, but I'd really like to see a 500 bhp 4.0T in the RS5, never mind the A8. The 4.0T should make its first appearance at Geneva in March of this year or whenever the A7 debuts.
Now that the Recession is over, the banks' balance sheets are looking healthier, the oil is flowing less expensively than before, and people are generally feeling more cheerful, with any luck those of us who have successfully survived the economic storm will start buying hi-performance cars again.
I think that the 4.0T is going to be the big Audi story for 2010/ 2011. To be perfectly honest, screw the A1! I want a nice throbbing V8 under my hood.
So, at the end, 4.0 T is supercharged or turbo charged...?
the issue is when will they come......
