Very impressive acceleration from the updated V8, 5.2 second to 100 km/hr is what the B6 S4 did with the old V8 and much quicker than the outgoing V8 A8. I am sure the 8 speed auto helps as well. The 372 hp V8 would make for a great S5 engine, but probably too close to RS5 in performance.
