Pretty good, but similar to the MKV as expected.

Walter da Silva is master of his art - a very well desinged Golf, and they kept the promise to continue, where they left after Golf 4.

Much clenaer lines, better interiour design and if the materials improved as well (to Golf 5) it is a sure hit.

I remember, when the Golf 4 came out, it was ground braking regarding build quality and its smooth timeless lines.

This Golf 6 pics up this heritage, which was left out by Golf 5.

I can't say i agree with you at all. Golf 4 was one of the worst Golfs ever.

The only reason you're seeing the golf 6 anytime soon is cause VW isn't making enough profit on the Golf 5.

The Golf 6 will not be availeble in the US and Australia.
Further there will not be a VR6 version of it.
    The top 3 will all be 2.0TSI engine's with 200, 240 and 272 hp.
200 hp for the normal 2.0TSI, 240 hp for the GTI and 272 hp for the 4Motion version with no name yet, RSI would have the best chance for it.

I worked at a car rental company for some years back then, when the Golf 4 was introduced. We had some broad range of manufacturers and when the Golf 4 came out, it was clear - this is the new benchmark in build & material quality.

I drove one till i got my Audi in April and it kept its quality.

The looks: it was not "shouting" or extravagant, but that is not what a Golf is supposed to be (and if you look at Renault Megane - it does not really pay off to be shiny)

And that is what was good about the Golf 4 as well, it was not overdesigned, but on the other hand it aged much slower than other designs.

Under these points - i really think that the new Golf 6 will be a suxess.

And when VW earns more with abetter buid car - fine with me

It'll be cheaper to produce then the V. But if it will be better remains to be seen.

To be honest this looks more like an extensive facelift then a new car.

I'm with you on that, but if you look at the Audi A4 B6/B7 (a major facelift) - that must not be a bad thing.
