I think what will really put this effort into perspective is the time the GTR does, as like the MTM S5 it too has, similar weight, awd (though technically more advanced) and similar power. The main differences lay with the gearbox which is a million miles away from a manual.

Based on this time I would expect the big Nissan to knock a full 3 seconds off it.

I'd have to agree with Leadie, would be nice to see what time the GT-R posts. But I'm not so sure it will knock a full 3 seconds off.

OK, maybe 3 seconds is a bit optimistic but I was basing my opinion/estimates on the fact that the Ferrari 599 was 1.8s quicker and I know the GTR is quicker on any track than it. So maybe something between the 2~3 second mark.

    Would you concur.

I don't think that is fair to compare this S5 to a GTR. It should be compared to a high performance luxury GT.

    Other data:

    0-100km/h - 4,3s
    0-200km/h - 13,9s

    Vmax 300km/h

1:13.8 on hockenheim using Michelin Pilot Sport 2 295/25/21 rubber!!!!!! Huge, but not race compound
    2.0 turbo FWD - less than 200hp
    2.0 NA - x- x- x- x- x- x - less than 150hp - - oh yes, I know
    1.8 Turbo AWD - less than 250hp
    2.7 Biturbo AWD - less than 620hp

Uhmm... that is what the GT-R is, a 2+2 Hi Po Grand Tourer.
