With the power hikes made in Audi models like the new RS6, the RS4 engine would be the better engine for the S5 to differentiate it from the A4 range IMHO.

There are pretenders among us.....
Geniuses with the ability to become anyone they want to be.....
They would only do that if the B7 RS4 was phased completely out of production already, otherwise the consumer market there would conflict. Audi would also charge much more for the S5 if they did that, which would distract from the market they are trying to reach with it. Just wait for the RS5 =). Audi has to step UP they're game, not match old parts to new bodies.
