Just want to make some statements on the new RS5

Well, as many are know saying Audi will build an RS5 to compete with the New BMW M3 and MB C63. I don't believe that Audi will put a twin turbo 4.2 in the RS5. My opinion is that the RS5 will have an updated version of the RS4's high revving 4.2 with about 460HP and a little more torque. A ECU upgrade and a different exhaust setup with some different internal parts should achieve this. If the "heavy" RS4 with 420HP can beat an M3 i believe a N/A RS5 which ways alot less weight and is a more nimble balanced chassis should kill the M3 and C63. I think asking for a Twin Turbo engine in the RS5 is asking too much. I also think that the RS5 will use special lightweight items like maybe Carbon Fiber and Aluminum components throughout making it weigh even less than the S5. I also believe that the 2009 S4 and S5 will have a Twin Turbo V6.

I am about 95% sure that the S4 and RS4 will run a v6 Bi-turbo but I have been told that the likelihood is the RS5 will run a Bi-turbo unit as well. I agree with the use of CF and even more aluminum and reckon that this will be an even more special machine than either the RS4 or RS6.

Think more like the R8 is abilities and you won't be far wrong.

I'm loving my RS4 and just can't imagine how great the RS5 will be. Any chance the B8 RS4 will also be running a twin turbocharged engine?

Yes to the RS4, this is what I have been told. But like the RS6, lots of different set-ups will be tried on an on going bases and no doubt the decision with be made nearer the time.
