    Well done Audi...

I wonder, what outcome would be if Porsche had that ''leistung kit'', 381 hps...?

Very interesting compared to the first test vs C4S you posted Eric :

there the C4S was better on track and very close on chronos which is not the case with this test.

This reassures me about the perf potential of the R8 as I was disapointed looking at the firts figures suc as AMS test. The C4S is much quicker on the autobild test !!??

I am following up closely as my next choice will be a GT car : competitors : R8, C2/4S, TT. But I think anyway that I will go for a Porsche once in my life (at least). However the R8 is superb and I've been a Audi guy for many years... Tuff one...

Now the acceleration times are getting lower. 15.2 sec must be the best we've seen so far?

And again, the laptime speaks for itself... great job Audi!

As rightly pointed out the lap times of the R8 compared to the 997S is huge, 2.6s is an almighty difference on such a short track. Now if a standard 997S can post 8:05 on the ring there should be little problem for the R8 to post a 7:56 time if not quicker.

    Respect.

In this case i don't understand how Porsche can win against R8 in AMS test. It must have been a mistake.

i'll tell you why, because people are always going to have their favorites. bmw and porsche. i remember when the first A4 came out and people were crying foul that it had beat the 3 series in various tests.

people just have to get used to the new world order . with price taken into account the R8 is superior to the 997 C4S in every way except ability to sway stubborn public opinion.

i wonder why it is that NO ONE tests the X50 verison of that car against the R8.
