    Bluetooth operation with RNS-E

With the RNS-E unit set up with bluetooth, how do you activate the voice command system. The manual shows only the steering wheel function to activate which the RS6 does not have.

Not true, (sort of) you can use a "CanGate" and a "button" to activate the voice commands. See navplus.us for details. ( I am doing this on my RS6)

Thanks..I thought that since I am utilizing the On-Star for voice reception they would utilize the buttons on the system for the activation as well; guess I'm wrong unless the installer wired it wrong.

Without an added button or MFSW, you will only get phone integration with Bluetooth for hands free use. You will still have to dial from the RNS-E unit or the phone. I have the OEM BT module and removed the OnStar to use the original mic, antennas, and wiring and it works great - I just dont have access to the voice commands with that setup.
