C4 A6 actually; but, yea that's pretty stupid. Bet the 2.8 V6 still runs though.

Stupid man...By the way, in a situation like this which is the maximum speed which engine can reach? I mean is it limited to 6-7000rpm or it can run even higher?
I ask this because i heard that in newer Audi engines the maximal engine speed is limited at the redline...(of course in low-rev engines)
5 Audis so far...currently:
2007 Audi A4 B7 2.0 TDI Multitronic
There is a limiter, but im not sure that it always works though. My Audi 90 has a 2.3l in-line 5-cyl. It is supposed to have a limiter at around 6700rpm, but it does rev above 7000rpm's
The engine in this car is limited to 6400 RPMs. Which, with the 4 speed automatic transmission, limits the top speed to 130 mph. 6400 RPMs is the redline.
