Passat R36 in my street?? Possible or not?

there was a blue passat estate in my street yesterday, which very much looked like it was an R36... The interior had beatifull beige sport seats, a DSG transmission, 2 exhaust pipes on either side of the rear bumper (they were not chromed, just regular pipes)... Nice big wheels, looked like 18 or 19 inch wheels... because of the tinted windows i couldn't have a clear look inside to have a look at the pedals and the bottom of the steering wheel...


Could it be possible? Are they for sale yet? The car looked very good, i hope he comes back so i can snap a few pictures... wish i could have heard it!

Unless its a pre-production test car of some sort then NO

The 300ps V6 engine for the Passat R36 does not start production until May this year.
