    R8 vs New NSX

just wanted to throw another one out there. of course no official info on the nsx. the rumor mill suggests 100K for an awd, mid-engine, all aluminum coupe with 550 hp.

wow. even if it cost 10K more it would be amazing. now for apppearance......
    Past- A4, TT, S4

    Present- R8 V10

Did the old NSX sell in numbers in the US? Over here you couldn't give them away regardless of how good they were, Honda just didn't have the image to sell a supercar, even with Senna's input into the development. No doubt the new one will be an amazing piece of kit and if you have ever seen any of the Best Motoring videos with the NSX you will know that it was right up there with the very best, but I still doubt that they will be able the sell them.

Even with 550hp and 100K sticker price, most will pick the Audi R8 in the knowledge that they have the car that has the image of a quality product unlike the Honda which will never shake off the image of the town run-about. Like-wise the new Lexus supercar though it will find buyers in the US will struggle to sell in Europe regardless of price and quality, maybe over here brand image means more than it does in the States.
Search and you will find the truth.

Absolutely not. They sold some in the first couple years, but then barely sold any at the end...
