Thumbs up Some pics from the New York Auto Show

Thanks to a friend, I was able to gain early access to the show and capture these pics. Here are some pics of the Audis on display, enjoy!

    Mugello Blue

US spec RS6 seats (Benman, this is the best I could do. Asked the rep if I can open it up for a direct view, but was not possible)

For some reason, I am more of an Avant person too and would much prefer the RS6 and S4 Avant variants.

Thanks for the comments, I shall be back again tomorrow for anything I missed at the show. Stay tuned for other pics in the VAG - Top of the Line section...

Exactly my thought Erik! All honour to the RS 6 (and A8 too) but myc choice is defenitely the S4 Avant. But that Nogaro blue color is just a bit to bright for my taste... Black would be nice!
Thanks for the pics, and yes you're right. Those Recaros in the S4 are very "grippy" and comfortable.

krm, thanks a bunch. great pics. kinda sucks that they wouldn't
let you take pics of the inside considering your on the list for the
RS6. if prestige was a reason the audi guy used then why do
ferrari guys let potential buyers sit in their cars? oh well, from the
shots you took, the light color seats do look a little better under
    those lights. thanks again

    Ben,

As much as I like to be, I am not on the list for the RS6. I think I may have spoken to the wrong person when I asked if I could go in for some close up shots as my press pass was suppose to allow me access to any cars I like to take pictures of. Now thinking back, I don't think she was the 'sharpest knife in the drawer' if you catch my drift. Oh well, hope the pics suffice and hope you'll get your car soon. Cheers.

karman, i know exactly what you mean about "sharpest knife".
most shows seem to try and bring the dullest on purpose

all the same, great pics. i wish i could have gone. it looks like
it was much better than the west coast show

Went to the show today and pulled out my RS6 Club card. It was like the Red Sea parted (after I was grilled about dealer, salesman, and allocation number.) Was allowed to sit in car, look at engine, etc. Didn't take any pics because we've all seen them 50 times. The car didn't have drilled rotors, but the Audi guy assured me we are getting them. Didn't love the seats at all in silver. Interior had the grey wood (just like the E55 AMGwhich seemed much smaller on the inside.) Glad I ordered carbon. Car had the warm weather package. Muguello is a nice color but I still prefer grey. It definitely is a stealth vehicle (until you start the engine.)

Is it just the lighting or...

To me that blue looks too light to be Mugello. Do you think that could just be the lights, or is Audi really going to call a different shade of blue by the same name?

    Very odd...

P.S. I'll get that paint code later!

Prolly the lighting and/or bad colour accurateness of the digital camera. I really don't expect Audi to make US mugello lighter than Euro mugello.

When I saw the first pictures of a daytona grey sedan I immediately called the dealer to switch colours. Too bad the colour in that picture wasn't really authentic

The Mugello Blue can do very strange things with a camera with spotlights on it!

Everything from almost black to very light blue.

I can attest that both the mugello RS6 and nogaro S4 are darker in person than they appear in the pics. The special lighting in auto shows really play tricks on cameras (overexposure, etc.)

    Cheers.

It looked darker in person than it looks in the posted pictures.
