    R8 Rs.

    It start to look like that the R8 RS will be a limited lightweight rear wheel drive car for race use.
    4WD is not aloud in GT races.

    And GT3 Championship will be very happy to have the R8 as well ! ! !

    In my opinion there will be a race version in 2008 but this is not fact, it's just my opinion.

    I think it will be a Race transemission, maybe the one of the race R8 LM car.

    Not on the fact it will be called RS but yes on the RWD race version.

    That is right, but the plan is that it will be competing in the 2008 GT championship and Le Mans.

    2 issues-

    -Audi will be competing with Porsche in GT2. Dunno if mgmt will like that. It is like Ferrari competing with a Fiat supercar. You don't canibalize your own family.

    -R10 is racing is LMP so it will cause confusion. R8 was "retired" so to speak.

    Porsche and Audi are seperate entitties. Yes, they do collaborate but Audi is already competiting with porsche with several vehicles. A RWD R8 will be a low volume car so the competition in this market share with porsche and the GT2 which is also low volume is miniscule at best.
