Wow Gary
you have a very early vin! One of the first in the country.
Early RS6...one of the first on US soil.
What month is your build date
Most of if not all of our 03 RS6s in the USA should have been 2004s due to build dates after 5/03
Only the very end of the line production in oct, nov, dec of 03 had the updates.
So many off...
I will not be home till mid week.
Carfax will give you a snapshot. The main benefit of the list is catching a prev owner from the forum.
You have the next to last US spec RS6 on record to date.
Let me go check the list. This may be the last US RS6.
That is decent stock ride height^^
Wow all these very late vin's popping up. You have no idea how lucky you are
What is the known history of your car? I can check the vin list this weekend
I like the styling of the 07 S8 but there are issues. Poor performance and carbon on the valves are the big ones.
...
You want me to check the car out?
Schedule a PPI at Audi Chandler. PM me for the master techs name that works on my rides.
Oh yeah, the last owner was a long time member here. Safe4now was...
Late vin!
:-)
Thanks for the update and I hope you get back on the road.
Nope it was not. Added it. Welcome
You have a late VIN RS6. If treated well the trans should last you a good bit longer.
Where are you located? Car was in Kansas before right?
Buy the Rosstech Vagcom and learn how to use...
I will check on friday.
Did you just buy this one? Post the specs and history
Yes
And 13k for a trans is a crock of $ hit. Even at CA rates. If you ever need another big repair....ask here first. There are members in your area that know the indys that work on these.
To say they are full of $ hit may be too kind. That is not why it failed. Service people....geez
I have had two early vin cars blow transmissions by 40k. My late vin car is perfect to this day.
...
Thanks for this info. Can you give more details on the failure and why the whole trans was done?
This vin is near the cutoff line between good and not so good units. Trans wise
904382 going thru Manheim WA tomorrow. 72k
Mugello
Some interesting tid bits
Found 905531 with some history. The whole trans was done at 76k. No records before to see if TC was done before that.
Also noted 905519 with blown trans at 80k.
...
It was most likely fixed at a different location. That code has not been known to fix itself.
Good luck with the car and it sounds like the TC is operating at spec currently.
I think so.
56xx is golden and we have to determine where that line is...
I have it on the list but no specific details on it. If you wish to add details...i can add them.
Early VIN....we know what that means.
54xx is not a late vin.
What is your build date on the car?
This vin is actually near the cutoff. Wow
New Vin, I have updated the list.
Raudi, your vin was already on the list. I updated your details.
I will check those vins against my master list tonite
