18447Moving soon and need to clear out some parts I had been hanging onto just because they are difficult to find. Accordion hoses, trans and engine mounts, boost plumbing, aluminum axle shields...
I thought it was a member here I saw once they offered caliper powder coat and piston seals replacement. Really just want mine coated but....paging... that person.
Sam will take your money and run. Steer clear. He stold my deposit years back when I was working with my 2.7. Posted all the info about this on audizine I believe. I honestly believe he did nothing...
I went through multiple starter pulls, three different solenoids, heat wrap, heat shield, fine adjustments. Nothing worked. Finally figured it out. Add a simple starter relay, tap it from the large...

Yes. Steveken makes a nice kit. It requires a trans adapter, flywheel, trans mount bolts, starter adapter, and a new starter that has the correct nose on it.
I cranked mine over on the stand....not long, just enough to checked oil lines and gaskets. It'll make a bit of noise the first time you fire it after sitting that long. The heads clank. It's normal....
Running nubakes tune. It's fantastic too.

I have srm and they seem to be holding fine so far. This is at 27 psi too!
It really depends upon the width and offset but it looks so much better when it's just right. The rear end of the rs looks mean as hell (like how a widebody Porsche looks) when the wheels are pushed...
So I measured tonight and it looks like about 13.5 mm will put the face of the wheel flush with the top of the fender. Think I should go 12.5 or 15?

Still have front seats?
Gregg, thank you for the kind words. I'm glad my thread helped. It was a long road but I took my time and even kind of enjoyed the challenges.

The unfortunate part of cylinder damage in these engines (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is the alusil composition of the walls. Where many engines can be honed or bored over, these take some...
I have two used sets of K&N filters. I haven't cleaned them yet but they are in very good condition. The part number is 33-2866
You need two for the RS6 airbox (just in case you weren't already...
I changed my slave cylinder in just this manner. If I recall it wasn't that bad. I decided to go with a metal slave and braided line
Egt in that removing primary cats as he was speaking of "piggies" drastically reduces exhaust gad temperatures. Nothing implying removal of the sensors themselves. Lower temps= happier and healthier...
No tune but you will need to delete rear o2 sensors or get a cel and not pass any emissions testing.
For me it was all about;
1. Egt
2. Sound
