How much Quicker/tighter than an S4 is it?
I didn't own my B7 S4 for very long ... very hard to compare ... it is tight and very responsive ... I can tell that I am going to like the mechanical suspension A LOT ... this car is much quicker, in terms of response, than the 6 but that may be entirely due to wheel base and weight bias ... I will post a full review when I've had a chance to stretch her legs a little ... I think I'm going to like this better than my GranSport.

You can bet you are!Quote:

After some time with RS 4, you are not even going to look at GranSport.
:rs4addict
Amen! That is exactly what I did with the :addict: and plan on keeping it forever!:0:Quote:

BTW, now you have to post the Q7 pics in the Q7 forum. ;)

She's here!!!
Picked up my Avus Silver, Ebony, Premium RS today! Purchase - no lease on this baby - slightly under MSRP.
A more detailed review will follow in a few days, but my first impressions of the car are simple. I am absolutely awestruck. Of course there is no way to REALLY put it through its paces, but the engine is stunning in its response and the handling is like nothing I've ever experienced.
It looks like you could get it to absolutely CHUG gas without much effort, but it also seems like a you can squeeze the mileage if you want too - skip gears, early into 6th, etc.
I can't wait for morning. I think I'll take the long way to work!
Audi RS4 Convertible with a lot of Audi Exclusive  ordered by the same owner to the car below. Delivery in August.
I got the specs but it's just too long to list... :love2:
This will be the first RS4 Convertible with Audi Exclusive in the world. White exterior, grey roof, brown interior with black inlays etc.
Anybody else out there with 2 RS4s? :D

I am a total TOOL.
I'm driving to work this morning and stop at my local Starbucks. I get my usual 4 shot caramel mach. As usual, I pay little attention to the cup or the top. I jump into the car and stuff my Grande cup into the dinky little cupholders crowded next to the parking brake handle ... well you know where this is going ... I spent the better part of my morning doing a mini detail on the interior ... I mean it looked like someone took a .45 and shot a full cup of coffee in the cabin ... what can you do but cry a little then laugh a little then admit your idiotness to your buddies on the blog. The Starbucks top had a small crack around the rim. Because the cup holder is burried, you have to pick up beverages by the very top of the container ... well the top held for about 1.5 secs then released and I dropped a nice sticky brown liquid all over the cabin.
WOW ... 70 miles and the darn thing smells like a Columbian Coffee factory ... well shes broke in now ... time to track her.

:applause: :applause: k2, thanks for sharing. That cheered up my morning!:applause:Quote:

My car arrived with 37miles clocked.
Phantom black, black leather and carbon fibre inlay.
I went for sports suspension (not too hard at all), the tech pack (adaptive lights<really work>, 6 cd changer and sat nav<much like the S4 sat nav with a few tweaks>), black optic pack (looks stealth), auto opening lid (I'm a tart) and thats about it. Went for the buckets obviously and the 19inch alloys, as if there really was a choice.
It absolutely purrs with the S button on when crawling around town and then when you open up the throttle its sounds like a plane taking off. Which is a nice combination.
Still running it in so haven't pushed it to 8,250 yet. Have to 7000 though and that is a joy.
All in i reckon its the best thing i've done with my young life.
Trips are already planned. Two weeks in the southern Alps next month to get it used to high altitude Alpine passes. Then in August a long distance run to Sweden via Germany. Oh joy.
Viva RS4.
:rs4kiss: :rs4addict
Add one more RS4 to the list. 61Km on the clock. Yellow with Audi Exclusive yellow interior piping and seat belts. Sports plus, Navigation, bucket seats etc. Will post pictures of it in my other thread once I arrive at my destination.
@k2:
One idea is to take the car to a car rejuvination place and let them do the thurough program to get rid of the smell and any stains. Even though I just got my car I am taking it straight to Mr.Cap for complete outer and innner treatment program. Definatly worth it for such a beauty of a car. Keeps it looking fresh longer.

Delivered yesterday. Luxury package the only thing on it. Didn't even ask what else I could get. Oh well.
picking mine up at dealer tonight :applause:
daytona gray/silver leather/cf trim.
Enjoy lads, mine arrives in about one month, at least holidaying lessens the wait, but then I see more magazines that rave over the RS4. Gazzab
Nice choice.:0:Quote:

When you get a chance can you take some interior pics? I've only seen one or two pics of silver interior on here, would like to get a better idea of the overall silver interior with CF, not just the seats.
Congrats on taking delivery.:rs4addict

Stinsy,
Great color ... very nice indeed :0:
No reason to get alarmed, but i believe your car still has the second pair of strut choks / blocks in it. It looks like it is sitting a little high. I suggest you call your dealer and confirm they removed the SECOND set of blocks ... there is one set that is easy to see (in the coils) ... the other is more difficult and sits on top of the strut arm. I don't have good pictures of mine on the board yet, but look at AudiHead's car ... that is the correct ride height ... again yours looks a tad high which has me suggesting you get it checked ... no biggy but it does help the cars handling.
Just a suggestion from someone who has been through this already.
K
I called and they said they did it. Thanks for the info. I assume you think the front looks high, not the back, right?
Exactly ... I just want to make sure folks are catching this because they are very difficult see ... and I can just imagine some techs not seeing them ... or simply checking it off the list not realizing there are a total of eight bloks ... not just four.
Is that an uneven driveway ? ... could be the illusion !!
RS4 Montreal Sprint Blue sometime after summer :)
Mine is in prep!
Should get it tomorrow (wednesday)
Can't wait... I've been able to sit in it and even start and listen a bit... (before they change the spark plugs)
Avus Silver, black interior with carbon trims + Premium Package.
For some reason I'm getting Michelin Tires instead of P-Zero. Some people are telling me that I'm lucky but what about you guys... what do you think? (I don't intend to track too much)
I had Michelines when I tried it on the circuit of catalunya.... I did not like them, the shoulders are too soft for my tastes and the tires get too warm and soft when abused. I am very happy with my Pirellis!!! But hey, michelines are good as well is just a matter of tastes
Interesting that you felt the soft sidewalls on the PS2's. I felt that when I had them (OEM) on my GT3, but not on my current S4. I thought the Porsche N-spec tires where the only ones with the softer sidewalls.Quote:

I got the P-Zeros on mine. Love 'em!:rs4kiss:
It's done, I'm officialy of those RS4 owners.
I'll post a couple of pics as soon as I can have a couple hours of sun.
My first impressions are just incredible. I did around 60km and I'm just unable to remove the smile from my face. :hahahehe:
So, no time now for chit-chating about the car... I must drive it!
Some pics and a review in my next post.
Cheers,
terrific work. Trust me, the feeling won't stop for a long time. I'm two weeks into it and I'm still giddy.
I've also got one.
A phantom black limousine
I will post some pics when I'm back home ;)
