  1. Just so you know, I will be running the car through my local BMW dealership if I sell it (if you've read my posts you've seen that I won't do business with my local Audi sales dept.) so it keeps us both safe. I've done this several times and I always pick up the misellaneous fees that are incurred, typically about $800 total.
I will keep you updated and I hope that you stay safe and please feel free to email or call me with any questions. Oh yeah, just out of curiosity , what do you fly? Thanks!

  2. Ross,

Thanks for the email. I am actually wavering a little bit right now about selling the RS6, even if my buddy goes through with the sell of his RS4. I made the mistake of driving it this week when I took pictures and forgot how damn fast that thing is. And how good it drives. I am going to take my buddies RS4 in about 10 days and make sure I am doing the right thing.
I am very familiar with USAA and there is pretty much nothing I won't do for our military, so that is not going to be a problem. Neither will the PPI. As far as the Alcon's, I am not sure I would want to leave them on, as I just put them on about 500 miles ago and absolutely love them. The stock RS brakes aren't bad at all, but the pads suck. Which is why I switched the rear setup to EBC Reds. I'll think about it and let you know if/when I sell the car what the price would be with or without them.

Also, I realize that your selling motivation is reliant upon the availability of a certain RS4; but, if everything were to work out smoothly, what would be your bottom line for price (w/brakes-w/o brakes)? I've been a member of this board (and others) for quite some time and there are several members who can vouche for my character. Additionally, here in Baghdad I am fortunate enough to have very reliable communication, with email and phone access 24/7. If we were able to work something out, I would need only a PPI from a reputable Audi dealership in order to feel comfortable proceeding on this end. Upon receipt of good news, I would be willing to send you a good faith deposit until the transaction could be completed with my bank, USAA. They are excellent in dealing with such cases.

Hopefully this is something you may be interested in, and I look forward to your reply.

    Sincerely,

    LT Ross Simpson

    Hello Chris!

Ran across your ad yesterday- I'm seriously interested.
Inconvieniently, I've found myself on yet another deployment overseas- I'm a Navy pilot stationed in Baghdad. However, as the current owner of an RS6 purchased on my last deployment, I happen to be intimately familiar with the long distance car buying process!
To explain- I'm very pleased with my "Pearl Black Effect" RS6; so much, that I've planned to add a multitude of upgrades when I return that will cost in the thousands (Full exhaust (to include downpipes/cats), ECU/TC chip, calipers, LED tail lights, etc). Ironically, your RS6 is setup exactly the way I have in mind- it's beautiful.

I would be interested in purchasing your car, and upon returning back to San Diego, begin the process of selling my mint black RS6. In you're ad you have mentioned that you plan to remove the Alcon front brake system and re-install the stock setup. Would you consider leaving it in place?
