Get your mind out of the gutter! - this is a car forum ':nono:'
I was in Paris last week and the company had arranged a driver to take us too and from the airport. Got picked up by a BMW 5 series and got taken back to the airport on Friday in a Q7 diesel. I asked the driver if he would let me drive after we cleared the inner city and he said yes. ( Not sure I wanted to drive in the city - even through we were leaving early in the morning) The car felt great - strong, very quiet and very smooth. This was a "loaded" Q7 with the big sunroof, 20" wheels etc. The engine felt like a normal gas engine in terms of how freely it revved and accelerated, the only real clue for me was the shift points were lower than a gas engine.
Got it up to about 130 km/hr and it was still smooth and quiet ( at that speed I could see the driver getting a little nervous so I slowed down)
The driver said it was the best car he ever had. We had 5 people in the car along with our luggage.
No question - I am going to wait for the Q7 diesel !!
