Great news!

At least a manual gearbox is a NCO. That's a relief.

Interesting to see that the carbon roof is standard aswell... :looking:

Incredible! So SMG, Xenon Headlights (both expensive options on last model) and a carbonfiber roof is standard? Wow, this will give Audi a run for the money... Now if only they can make it not look like rolling Bangle poo doo...

Very interesting and on the face of it, good value. It looks like the ding dong battle is about to start again in the next six months or so. M3 vs RS4, no doubt the M3 will regain it's crown as the best mid-size sportscar, but I doubt the fight the RS4 will give it with be anything like the fight the RS5 will give when it finally arrives. The only saving grace for the RS4 is the fact it's got awd and 4 doors, essential to safety minded people with families.

If I had the money, I would have both. Until it arrives we can only guess how good it is based on the rest of the range, but if the Z4M Coupe is anything to go, there is no certainly it will be that great.

CF roof means the bastard was too heavy to be released ;)

WOW - great value and soon the bimmer boys surely have something to be proud of in terms of handling & performance as well! Now, just remember to be in good terms with your local rear tyre supplier for frequent-buyer discounts...:thumb:

Hi everybody,

I just dont understand why BMW 335 came out. What were they thinking? Its going to eat market shares from the new V8 M3, right?

Or maybe they want to make the new M3 more exclusive?

Now which one will it be:

Audi Rs4 Cab or New Bmw M3 Cab?

I would go for the Bmw M3 Cab. Because im a bmw fanatic=) hehe

This car will be great for shure, then it is a matter of choice between the RS4 and the M3.

Personally I would not be against switching to this new M3 in a couple of years...

The funny think with the release of the specs is that they come out before the car pics. Certainly to allow customers to fix their orders asap. Well done BMW !:deal: :D

Oh, I understand why BMW have produced the 335, it to try compete with the S4. BMW need a very quick but relaxing driving car that's not a diesel for all those petrol-heads.

They have still missed the mark in present form. Now they need to complete the copy and add the all important 4 wheel drive system.:hihi:

Audi should feel flattered that BMW see the S4 as real competition to the 330i/M3 and have decided to make it direct rival.

I think 335 was more in response to IS300 and G35 and not S4. It just so happens to match S4 performance which I guess will achange when the new S4 is out in god knows how many years.

Was talking to the biggest BMW dealership in the U.K. and the salesman was surprised to know that the US have a detailed spec and options list for the new M3. He says that no one in the U.K. know anything other than what is in the magazines and the websites.

One thing he was very surprised with, was the fact that it will have a carbon roof. When all this is considered, surely this puts the price well below that of the RS4 stateside. If true, will this not be the case this side of the pond as well.

Yeah, that is surprising that the info above has been released in the states.
They have only just announced prices for the 3 series coupe this week http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/newsid/2060718.008/country/gcf/BMW/2007-bmw-3-series-coupe-pricing-announced-us

The M3 has not yet officially released

The U.S market always get their cars way after Europe does.

I'm of the opinion that this is bogus information.

(sorry Erik - Please dont delete me :D )

I think the price is a little bogus as well. That's the exact same price as the last M3...if it's not, sorry to sound like a traitor, but $20,000 difference? The M3 would be the logical choice, but that often does not govern the way we buy cars.

The MSRP for current M3 is only $48,900, that is $5000 cheaper than the reported price for the new one, which sounds about right.

But I doubt if some of the options like carbon fibre roof is standard.

If the carbon roof isn't there to start with, it won't be an option. The only way that this specs and price are in the States is an insider has released it from inside BMW M Division. And if that was the case it would be in GCF as well.

The prices for a sedan RS4 in finland is starting at 117,000€
full loaded u can add 20,000€ on the price tag.

So im guessing the new M3 V8 will be priced at around 105,000-110,000€

Man i wish i lived in germany or sweden=)
plus all the snus in sweden is great... Love that stuff, cant be a day without it.

I know norway has very high car prices' as well? Even higher?

I would definately choose Audi over Beemer cause most of my friends who bought new M cars are not happy at all.Cars perform great but spend most of the time in the service either being repaired or waiting for the parts. My best mate's black M5 has changed two SMGIII gearboxes by now and its less than one year old ! :)

WIth the RS4's base pricetag at $66,000, does BMW mean to grab extra customers with the $53,000 number? Or did Audi mean to distinguish the RS4 as more of a rarity in the first place by giving it such a high price? I know the RS4 much more limited in its production than the M3, but I don't know how much...
