Considering picking up some 19" wheels. When i searched the forums and places like tirerack, i have I have seen listed in various places 19 x 9 and 19 x 8 1/2, and ET 35 and ET 38. Also read somewhere that tirerack sold somone else a set of tires which did not fit (rubbed his fenders i believe), so what's the bottom line?

Could you help a newbie out and just tell me what the proper fitment would be in 19"?

And while we're at it, what size tire on them?

Thanks in advance...

Leaving aside the fact that price is a a bit off, would these fit?

Dear Friends,

if you want to use 19" Wheels:

Stock size is: 9x19" ET35 with 255/35 R19 96Y XL

Note:

Tires to fit 9x19" ET35 without problems are:

-Continental Sport Contact 2
-Pirelli PZero Rosso
-Dunlop Sport 9000 RS
-Michelin Pilot Sport 2 (#023610)

These tires are OE Audi fitted.

You can use 8,5x19" ET35 with most other Tires available.

20": 8,5x20"- 9,5x20" each ET26

255/30 R20 XL

Tires:

-Continental Sport Contact 2
-Dunlop Sport Maxx

If you want to go wider, Bodywork is necessary. Not recommended.

Possible with Bodywork:

9,5x19" ET30 with 275/30 R19Y XL
9,5x20" ET26 with 275/30 R20Y XL

I ran Kinesis 19x9 with Dunlop Sport SP 9000 and rubbed the inside front tire walls. Fortunately, only a low speed blow out occured. I measured everything and the wheels appeared to fit, but dynamically, they didn't. So, I sent the wheels back and had the inside rims replaced to make 19x8.5 of all four wheels. No further problem.:vhmmm:

Be careful.

These wheels were custom made for the RS6. JP4 worked with Kinesis to custom make these wheels to ensure fit to the RS6. I think there a couple other owners who use these wheels. If you want these exact wheels contact JP4 or myself.

Thanks again for the info above. So would that mean these would NOT fit properly?

Size: 19x8.5
Bolt Pattern: 5x112
Offset: ET38
Tires: 245/35/19

Thanks again
