Belgian RS4 with 20" RS4 design wheels, 9 X20 with an offset of 46.

I must admit I didn't see that big difference, until a closer look.

They are about 1050 EUR each.

Looks great.....however whats the ride quality like ? I can only assume that it would be too firm which, if it is the case, would be a pity. One of the biggest complaints with the B6 S4 is ride quality

The ride on the RS4 with 19 inch wheels is very compliant and is one of the most important elements in a car thats been designed to be a daily driver. It's what makes my RS4 such a great car to drive and enjoy.

A Belgian auto magazine advised even not to take the 19" wheels mainly because of comfort, so I can imagine that 20" rims would be over the top.

Tacky ? Well, I believe so too, 19" + SSplus (or even stock suspension) looks great !

These wheels are from the options list of a Q7. They are an upgrage on the Q7 S-Line model.

I find those 20'' wheels are very suitable for the B7 RS4. :thumb:

These 20'' wheels are one of the new wheels option from "Audi Exclusive" for the new Audi A8/S8.
Those on the new Q7 S-Line are 21''.

Yep just checked, your right. I'm not sure the bigger alloys suit the car or maybe it's the extra inch with being the same design is the problem. I think Audi and BMW are great at judging what wheels suit their cars best and that is why I never pick something outside the option list for that model.

The only people I would leave my car to upgrade it (Paint job, big alloys etc.) would be the "Overhaulin'" group.

If I were to buy that, I would have bought bigger brakes to fill in the rims first. IMO it looks a bit wierd with the "small" brakes.

Why do people have to make new RS4 owner's already feel inadequate? At least give me six months where I feel there's nothing I would change!

You can order SS+ which lowers the ride height and gives firmer suspension.

Sports Suspension Plus option : It's firmer springs and shox. ~ 10mm reduction in ride height compared to standard RS4. £500 in the UK

There's been plenty of discussion about this topic on this forum...I had a similiar dilemma when ordering my RS. Put 'Sports suspension' in the search option and you should get a few results.

The general view (I think) is that if your going to be doing track days etc then the SS+ suspenion is worth it. I was only goint to get the SS+ for it looks, however, I was very impressed by the ride quality and handling of the standard car, so decided to keep the standard set-up and also their is very little difference in the looks. Also, I live in London, where the roads ain't super smooth.

Can't remember which members have the SS+ on their cars, but try starting a new thread and i'm sure they'll help you out.:0:

Think one can upgrade to SS+ later on.

Does anyone have a clue how much that would be?
