When was the current S3 facelifted?

Hi guyz,

Quick question, what year/reg change was the current S3 Facelifted in the UK?

Thinking of selling my Seat Leon and buying an S3 to replace it and so have a complete fleet of Audi's!

Are you aware that there is not YET an S3 in the current A3 bodyshape?

If you are referring to the '99 - '04 shape S3 there was a small tweak between 2000 & 2001 model years. Look for single piece headlight / indicator on the front (they were two seperate units on 99/00 cars) this appears on x'reg * onwards.
The 225ps engine (replacing the 210ps engine) appeared in 2002 MODEL year cars. These started appearing in about sept/oct 2001. So look for '51 reg * cars onwards.

* This is not a definate way to differentiate models. It is possible to get earlier cars on later plates.

Oh yeh, maybe i should have phrased my question better. I know there isn't an S3 (yet) in the current shape. I meant the previous shape...i.e the most recent S3 99-03

You've clarified all that I wanted as I thought all facelifts came with the 225 engine and was getting slightly confused :vhmmm: I now realise that this isn't the case.

the exterior got facedlifted in 2000 and the engine in 2001, so you can get a facelifted with a 210hp and the 225hp version
