Can anyone suggest an image that best depicts the Mugello Blue? I am torn between the blue and grey. All the blue pictures seem to show different a different brightness level. I'm hoping for someone who has actually SEEN the color to recommend (or post) a good picture.

Thanks!

Thanks for the great pictures!

Any chance you have some nice outside ones like this of the Daytona grey as well?

Benman sent me sprayouts of Daytona Grey and Muguello Blue. (Thanks again, Benman) The blue is wild- like a show car. I ordered Daytona. The blue was a little flashy for me.

Sadly, I don't have any of the Daytona Grey (until I take delivery in late June ;) )

JConley,

Thanks for the photos. I've ordered the Blue. From the photos and paint samples I've seen, I can't tell how metallic the color is. How did it look in person?

I don't know exactly how to describe it...

It is similar to the Moro blue of the S4, only darker, and not quite as metallic.

I think it is a beautiful color, and I am ure you wwill be happy with that chice.

Actually, they're all nice colours, even if the red is a little wild (you should see a red avant, my dealer's sold one and it's just outlandish!).

To get you in the Mugello mood, here's some pics of mine.

Do you feel the blue is easy to take care of? I have seen many dark blue cars that really seem to show lots of small scratches and swirl marks. I am leaning towards the grey because I think it will be easier to take care of (and look better over time). Any thoughts?

Avus Silver looks like it will take a lot of abuse and still look no different.

I think both Daytona Grey and Mugello Blue are dark enough to show light swirls, although I can't say it's worse than any other (non-silver) Audi I've had.

Regular waxing will no doubt help a lot.

That is the reason that I finally went with the Daytona Grey over the Black, currently have black 4.2 and it realy shows hairline scratches and swirles.

My A4 was Volcano Black (metallic) and it wasn't too bad, but I've seen brilliant black cars with severe swirling. You've got to be a wax addict to keep brilliant black looking like a showroom car! :D
