cheap!!! I want the Recaro Young Sport in Red/Silver combo to match my Misano Red RS6. But, through Ebay, shipping from Germany is about $115Euro.

Does anyone know of a more economical way to reliably ship to New Jersey. Also, it would have to be easy enough that the seller would want to do it for me.

Thanks in advance.

Just want to say a BIGGGGG thank you to Jeff and his wife. They helped me ship a Recaro infant seat from Germany to the US.

Both of them took a lot of time and effort to help someone who they did not know and I truly appreciate it.

What's more, my baby son appreciates it, because now he's riding in the same Recaro style as his daddy ;)

Jeff's a huge asset to the RS6 community.

Thanks again buddy.

Rob,

I left you an email yesterday while I was on the road, not sure if you got it or not.

I recevied the $ and the magazines, thanks very much.

Hope the seat is working out well for you. Post some pics of it in the car, I'd like to see the seat and the color out of the box. Kristin and I breifly thought about keeping it for ourselfs, but, since we are still in the practise phase of having a family (newlyweds :wo: ) we figured we would send it on. :thumb:

Thanks for the kind words, I enjoy seeing everyone getting excited about Audis over in the states. It's easier for me to talk the language (Germany is a hard language to wrap your mind around)

Let's keep in touch,

Jeff

Jeff,

Got your message and sent reply. Enjoy the mags! And, enjoy the "practice." Once you decide on kids, it's the best decision you can ever make. Yes, I know everyone says this, but until it actually happens to you, it's difficult to understand that it's entirely true! Here's some pics.

Definitely stay in touch.

And for good measure, here's an azz shot of my dearly departed '03 Black S6 Avant. Now it's owned by someone in CA.

The seat looks good in the car. That should definetly keep your son in place during a spirited drive to Preschool. :incar:

What wheels did you put on your car? Does your car still have the Aluminum mirrors? The new 'S' & 'RS' models over here are getting chrome like plastic mirrors due to theft. I know of a guy over here that had both of his mirrors taken at a race, and they caused alot of damage to the car. (body, interior & electrical).

Is that a Land Cruiser in the background? Over here people are buying up the diesel Land Cruisers left and right. Pretty soon I think everyone will be driving diesel cars for the milage you get from the tankful. In the RS I can get anywhere between 350-410 km on 55 liters of fuel. The wifes diesel GTI will do 900km on 50 liters of fuel.

Yes, these are aluminum side mirrors. That completely stinks about the theft. Sheesh. Can't have anything nice!

My wife's truck is a Lexus GX470. I tried to get her to either take my S6 or the new Q7, but she completely loves her truck. It really is nice though.

Sometimes I feel terrible about how much gas we blow through. My wife can get about 240 miles per tank that costs $65 to fill up.

I drive in "s" mode constantly, so I only get about 210 per $70 to fill up. Mind you this is premium gas at around $3.30 per gallon.

I really hope more diesel cars come out in the US. We need to get away from what we're currently doing! I'd buy one in a minute.
