I would imagine that the cf decklid on that RS 4 would be super expensive, even more so than the hood. Reason, the cf hood can at least be shared with all other B7 A4s... whereas the decklid is a completely bespoke RS 4 item and will not work with other B7 A/S4s...

But very nice quality.

Since the RS6 MTM Clubsport, I very like those MTM CF hoods.
The new CF decklid looks great too and it's very suitable for the mighty RS4. :rs4addict

Thanks for the link Erik. :thumb:

My question is how much weight savings does the CF provide?

Enough to make the car faster?

I would shell that out. I think the CF looks great with DT and I have DT so it works for me.

I suppose also it could be painted and clear coated to match and not add any significant weight?

The MTM CF Hood is about 5 kilos versus 20 kilos for the Audi hood. On top of being lighter and stunning look, the air outlet are also helping for the cooling of the engine. Not a bad thing for a car like the RS4 V8 where the engine bay is very crowded.

Feel free to contact me if you want more information on this MTM Part (mtmfrance@yahoo.fr)

Cheers,
Frederic

I would love the hood and the rear trunk, but I am not a fan of the air inlets, they make the car look like a Pontiac or something.

Can the hood be had without air inlets?

Yes the hood can be delivered without air outlet.

But if you want the Transam gold eagle with air outlet, it is also possible ! ! ! !

I donīt know if the car is faster , but some say that with the ceramic brakes the car handles better , the CF Hood rest more weight on the front than the brakes so ...

Anyway Iīll tell you when mine arrives , but I donīt expect too much improvement , I just like how it looks and want to made the car a bit more personal .:cool2:
Spain is hot too , 45šC today .

Frederic (Mr Balsen) is a great guy , really helpful , ask him all that you want .:thumb:
