The new (August 2006) issue of Road & Track just came out. They should just call it one long Audi ad. :thumb:

Cover story (with great photos) is a comparison test of the new RS4 :rs4kiss: vs. new Porsche 911 C4S, plus a very complimentary article on the new Audi S8 and a brief piece predicting a possible (they quote no less than Herr Dr. Winterkorn) extremely lightweight 2-seat roadster from Audi to be built with Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM. :revs: And to top it off, the used car classic is the first generation Audi TT. :ttaddict: All the bases are basically covered.

If you're an Audi fan, it's a must. How these all ended up in one issue is an interesting question. Should be online in a month, if you miss the hard copy.

Blogs welcome.....:brag:

I saw it today. It also includes a test of the S8. They seemed to like it and got great test results. 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and 1/4 mile 13.1@108.7 plus. For comparison in the same issue the RS4 was 4.3 seconds to 60 and 12.8 @109.7. The RS4 weighted 3920 while the S8 test weight was in the 4300s.

What is the correct Curb Weight for a US spec RS4 ? Does 3920 lbs sounds accurate. How can the RS4 weigh in more than an S4 at 3825 lbs. 380 lbs more than the sled S8 ??? Something doesn't seem right.

And why does the Audi website list N/A as the curb weight ?

What is the real answer here ?
