Amazing how the Bugatti, a car close to two tonnes can brake better than a Caterham which is just 500kgs, fu@king amazing. :MTM:

Pleased to see the 997 Turbo wiping to floor with the rest of the competition, lovely.:wo:

How did the RS4 do? I thought they were testing it as well.

Do anyone have Ultima GTR's time? :hahahehe:
I guess it will beat Veyron 0-100-0 mp/h..
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ultima GTR has the record for 0-100-0 mp/h..

Awesome! Veyron kicks some ass!

But still, the 977 Turbo is my favourite and it performs very very good! :D

And yes, the Ultima has the record for 0-100-0.

Yes, but you have to remember, the Ultima has only a little bit more weight than the Catherham and has 720hp. Power to weight is off the scale. I think the morel victory should go to the Veyron, no compromise on quality, luxury or style and still not a kick in the arse off it's time.

Alse I see it's short lived. Porsche's new Carerra GT1 road car out in 2009, 950hp and 254mph.

Sketchy at the minute, first details and pictures on Autocar this week. It's the street version of a new Le Mans based racer which will be reduced in power to produce 660hp. I basically a Carerra GT with I think two or four turbos. I doubt it will be cheap.

It's a great time, apart from the 0-30mph, 1:87 seconds is very slow for a awd cars especially one with 420hp on tap. I think this might be down to the fact that Audi have done something to the clutch to protect it and make it wear better.:vhmmm: It really a mixed bag, bad 0-30, good 0-60 and ok 0-100 times. I'm surprised it didn't break the 10 seconds barrier. Also with bigger, better brakes than the S4, it braking time is no better than the time the S4 produced a few years ago.

I'm happy with the overall result, but only up to a point. By the way, the CSL a few years ago beat this 0-100-0 time.:vgrumpy:

The Veyron got up to 160mph, instead of 150mph. Which means it took longer to accelerate, and longer to decelerate. Whether it can account for 0.5s, I don't know. I think it takes me about 0.5seconds to blink, so it's not exactly shamefull for the Veyron.

Quattro is an acceleration disadvantage in conditions with plenty of grip.

I think you're right on that. They've possibly done the same with the Gallardo too with that being a VAG vehicle. It also seems slow off the mark for such a powerful and light(ish) AWD car.
