Been driving the RS4 for the weekend, went 700km with it. Very nice car, the sound is just amazing to say the least. Shame it stops at 270km/h @7000RPM at 6th gear. Theres definitivly power left... :)

Its normal, theres a small bump in the road thus it looks low on air. Luckily the RS4 comes with tire pressure alert system from stock.

Nice pair of autos.:0:

Obviously, two very different approaches to RS cars. Which do you prefer for which kinds of driving? Any complaints?

RS6 pro's:
- more power (atleast my tuned one still runs away from the RS4 easily)
- very good suspension, nice for long rides
- more comfort, exspecially for 4+ people in the car

RS6 con's:
- none worth mentioning

RS4 pro's:
- sounds like from another planet, i want it!
- very very gentle steering, nice for parking/city cruising
- very nice design
- new technology/new features compared to RS6

RS4 con's:
- steering is a bit too gentle for me, i want more feedback at high speeds
- suspension can break your neck on long rides (even without pushing the S-button)
- getting small inside with 4+ people, rear seats obvisously dont have the space as the RS6 does

Overall:
RS4 - city cruising, in S-mode people will hardly oversee/miss you :)
RS6 - long rides

Unfortunatly i wasnt able to bring the RS4 to a save race track, thus i dont really know how it reacts at limits.

one othe issue - rs6 fuel tank is 82 liters, rs4 is what - 60?

that makes on hell of a difference on longer trip specially here where you can, on a good day, manage about one hour on RS6 tank .... with RS4 it would be about 45 minutes? :thumb:

Of course some past members managed to get only 50 minutes out of full tank on rs6 .... :D

And where the heck is that certain past member? Haven't heard from him in a long time now... (except for the now and then automated email...)

Thank you for the great pictures and the comparison!

I'm really surprised that you find the RS6 suspension more comfortable... most of the British auto. press eg. Evo magazine, would have us believe the RS4's suspension is a big improvement in ride quality over all previous performance Audis!

What about the RS4 suspension do you find less comfortable - does it 'crash' over bumps more, or what?

Correct, it crashes over bumps more than the RS6. I just noticed that the RS4 that i drove did have sport suspension plus (from the options list). So it might be this upgrade (not sure if it only actives by pressing the S-button).
Even if you take out this "problem", i still like the RS6 more.
